Jogging when trying to conceive

I have recently got into jogging and am enjoying it (approx 4 times a week for 20/25 mins), but I would also love to conceive and am worried jogging could jeopardise it happening. Would you keep it up or should I pause it? Thanks

Keep it up. No evidence to suggest it will jeopardise conceiving. If it helps I've always run, up to ultra marathon distance and have 4 DC.

I was training for and ran a marathon while trying to conceive and kept running right up until I was 7 months pregnant and just too big and uncomfy to keep going, if you enjoy it then keep doing it x

Of course keep doing it! Anything beneficial to your health will help with conception, and it could take a while so best to keep enjoying things in your life. Some people run throughout pregnancy as well.

Thanks so much all. I slightly know I'm being irrational, and I do really enjoy it and have got the bug. I just have this silly fear that all the motion will prevent it from sticking.

You might need to slow down during the actual act...

@Floam6 I have the worry that it'll stop it sticking too. As silly as it is, I find myself avoiding running or going crazy slow from ovulation to 10dpo because I can't help but feel the temp rise from running will do something. I've entered a race in the hopes the training will stop me thinking about it!

Running keeps you fit, increases blood flow to all your organs including uterus (which is important :), reduces stress which can interfere with fertility - absolutely do it!
Doing marathons might not be a good idea but healthy exercise is brilliant for TTC.

I decided to try and work to a sub 25 park run whilst TTC - didn't affect anything 🙂 I continued running in the early weeks too although eventually my time got slower and not faster 😂

How could jogging possibly jeopardise conception?
