hi all. First month using ovulation strips, a little confused. App shows my peak was yesterday afternoon. Tested again today and it’s clearly darker than yesterday’s.
when will I ovulate? Am I ovulating now? Thanks!

Wow, that’s a very strong line today, I’ve never seen one so dark! Obviously it’s much darker than yesterday, but it won’t register as a ‘peak’ until you log a lighter test afterwards (I.e levels begin to fall again). It looks like levels were still rising yesterday, there is actually very little between the two tests yesterday, it could simply be you were slightly more hydrated in the evening. Keep testing - i would expect you’ve found your peak today and I think your lines will probably get lighter from now on. The surge is what triggers ovulation, anywhere from 8 - 20 hours after your peak.

At a guess you are ovulating today. It’s a rough estimate though. It could even be early tomorrow.

That's super helpful, thank you! I've tested today again now at 7.36pm and it has indeed begun to drop. It's now 1.46
I guess we wait and see if we catch this cycle!

Thank you. It's all so confusing. Some say you ovulate after the peak, others say the peak is you ovulating. Mind boggling but will dtd and hope for the best anyway!

It is hard to pinpoint I agree. I do bbt as well and I appear to ovulate the day after my peak. I suppose since it’s a 5-6 day window if you DTD every other day then you know you’ve covered it anyway. We only DTD the night before my peak on my last cycle and conceived from that. We did it before then too I think -5days before ovulation. As long as you have covered the window you have a chance.
