Accidentally ate expired chocolate pot pudding

Accidentally ate a low fat choc pot (aldi) before realising it was 4 weeks out of date and now feel v. stupid and worried, am 5 weeks pregnant. Have I caused harm to the baby?

No harm in calling 111 or your nearest early pregnancy unit if you are worried. But… I would have thought almost certainly not.

If it smelt and tastes fine, it was most likely absolutely okay to eat. I’d expect at the very worst you might get a bit of a dodgy tummy tomorrow but nothing that would affect an embryo.

I think it is full food poisoning that can be dangerous in pregnancy (e.g from undercooked meat) but I wouldn’t have thought out of date puddings could cause that.!

I second this. It will be fine! Even if you did get food poisoning, which is unlikely it is still overwhelmingly likely that it will be fine.....
