Posting on behalf of my mum

She had urine infection few months ago , it all cleared up with antibiotics and all fine

Yesterday she suddenly felt like she needed to pee a lot, assumed urine infection. Spoke with pharmacy but he said because it didn't look cloudy not could you physically see blood he didn't think urine infection

Last night she started to feel bloated and a lot of pressure with the urge to wee

Was at docs today seeing a nurse (due to something else minor ) and she mentioned to nurse , nurse said it sounded like symptoms of urine infection and was sending urine of and was asked to collect prescription in morning

Nurse then phoned back after my my seen her, and said they had missed courier for urine so will have to do another one, she also said she thinks this may all to be do with age (65) and being more prone to urine infections, although she very rarely gets them

She then rang back AGAIN and said she now thinks the issues may be to do with her ovaries ?!

I have obviously googled, and worst scenarios has come up!!

She is providing another sample tomorrow. And has an appointment with docs Monday. But I am worried

Is this likely to be normal urine infection? Or something more sinister??

I have no advice but I had a HORRIBLE UTI last week, I was peeing bloods and clots and so I sympathise with your Mum. Hopefully it is just a urine infection and can be treated quickly xx

@MrsKurz thank you for your reply.

Sorry to hear you're going through that.

Hopefully she does just have a UTI, but I tend to worry!!
