Hi - thought I'd try to attract your attention first! I had a laparoscopy, hysteroscopy and myomectomy last week to remove a fibroid and treat mild endo. It was on day 13 of my cycle so I am due on next week. What I forgot to ask at the clinic was how long do I need to give my body to heal before ttc? Can we start next cycle?

I had pretty major fibroid surgery a couple of years ago and my speilist said - go for it when you are ready. Apparently the body repaars itself from the inside outwards so the womb will heal first. apparently they have had several women who have come back fro their check up consultation who have already got pregnant. As I say that was fror fibroids. I'n not sure if the advice is same for endo.

Hi Babadooba - I had a laparoscopy and hysteroscopy on day 9 of my cycle and had laser treatment to remove severe endometriosis, we started having sex again about 10 days after my operation and we were lucky enough to fall pregnant the following month. Our consultant just advised us we could start having sex as soon as we felt like it. Good luck - Helen :-)
