Evening ladies - thanks for the new thread

It has been a busy day on here today hasn't it?

I can't remember what everyone said as it is on the other thread

Angel - will post those sticks early next
week if that is ok? Sorry you got a BFN but it may be too early - how regular are your cycles? Completely agree with Willmouse that the long cycles are an absolute nightmare as once you have accepted you are not pg, you just want to move on to the next month - but my mammoth cycle did have a happy ending

Am shattered tonight so I think I will have a very early night. DS has got a party at 10 o'clock tomorrow so no lazy Saturday morning for me. Plus the cricket season starts tomorrow (aaaggghh!) so I officially become a 'cricket widow' every Saturday which means I have to look after DS by myself - not great when I am knackered and nauseous!

Hope you are all having a good evening

Ahhh, I am glad I found you all!

No real plans for this weekend, except avoiding the family at all costs, lol! As we have our scan next week and haven't told anyone aside from my best friend, dh's boss (so he can take the time to come to the scan), my best friend and lots of internet friends (LOL!), we want to see them all next weekend. As much as I have loved having a little secret, I am very ready to tell people now. Aside from that, I have to pick up a bag of maternity clothes that some offered on Freecycle

Bellie · 18/04/2008 23:38

Hi all - thanks for the new thread!!

Have had a great night out with my pg friends - but as predicted - probably had far too much to drink!

Not much p;lanned for the weekend - dh's birthday and dd at a party so we get to go out for a grown up lunch! Not sure that we will have anythign to talk about though .

Hoep everyone has a good one planned!

xx

HumphreysCorner · 19/04/2008 09:34

Bellie-hope your head is OK this morning. Hope you have a good weekend and I'm sure the conversation will flow.

Well, FF has me OVing on CD12 which is the day I got the +ive OPK. Curiouser and curiouser.

Have a fab weekend ladies.

morning all!

Bellie- hope your head is ok! LOL Hangovers are mint aren't they!

PS I thought of something which could set the mood for your lunch with DH! Just as you leave home tell him what his birthday present is going to be when you get back

(Sorry that's a bit rude for first thing in the morning!)

HC - sounds interesting with the opk and FF matching up. How long is cycle generally?

I got the +ve opk 2 days after FF thinks I ov'd!!! Technically not possible but doubt I am some 'medical miracle'!!!!

I'm off to climb down a big hill and then come back up again - just for fun LOL

Bellie · 19/04/2008 14:25

hangover from hell

Not helped by the toilet overflowing all over the bathroom and through the ceiling into the study this morning . Has spurred us into action for getting our bathroom fixed though - some people coming round this week to measure/price etc. Have spent most of the morning mopping up and emptying the toilet so it doesn't back up any more Not a recommended cure for a hnagover!!

CE/HC I am completely confused by what ff seems to think so can't shed any light I'm afraid.

Lol at your suggestion ce for tomorrow - depends on how he behaves!! . Hill walking - that involves outside and weather doens't it? Not a good combination today I am freezing! Hope you had fun though!

ChocolateEclair · 19/04/2008 16:58

just got back from my long walk..I'm sooooooo tired! It turned out to be a little more 'challenging than we expected'. My thighs are killing me! DP is running us a bath as we speak....awww.

It was nice to be out in the fresh air though and was a nice fresh day, cold but no rain.

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend and a) hangover's improved and b) no-one has killed their inlaws!

majormoo · 19/04/2008 17:40

hi everyone. Got back from my parents today so trying to catch up but it is quite a challenge.

Just quickly, Angel glad you are sticking around. Sounds like you have made the right choice as otherwise you would have been putting your life on hold a bit til TTC next year.

Willmouse glad things have been smoothed over with the kitten.

Soosy I hope your scan goes well on Monday.

Hm2J/MJIM/Ceebee hope your scans go well.

Hope the hangover has eased a bit Bellie and the bathroom gets sorted soon.

As I have been away, I missed my Apprentice fix for the week as my parents do not watch it. My sister filled me in-sounds like the women are still making our sex look pretty ridiculous and nasty.

Hello to everyone else-will be on later when kids are in bed to try to read the thread properly.

Evening all
Bellie ? sounds like you have had a nightmare day ? probably not helped by the hangover ? but I always think a hangover is a sign of a good evening

CE ? glad the walk was good. Me and DH used to go for 2-hour walks most Sundays (pre-DS). We used to set the breadmaker going before we went and come back to freshly-baked bread and cheese ? I do miss those mornings.

MJIM ? have a fantastic fantastic holiday. We will miss you you know

Hi to everyone else

The party went well although I don?t quite think DS has got the hang of ?pass the parcel? ? he kept wanting to keep the parcel and unwrap it all himself!! Then we came home and each had a lovely long nap

Going to the zoo tomorrow with my sister and her 3 children ? it is going to be quite a challenging ? but fun ? day as I don?t know where I am going to summon the energy to keep walking for hours.

x

MJIM - me and DH have always gone to the zoo at least once a year - even pre-DS - but it is much better now with DS. This will be DS's third trip there and he is only 21 months old

We go to Chester Zoo - is about an hour's drive away - tis fantastic.

Bellie · 19/04/2008 21:42

oh - mjim - is Marwell good? It is about an hour from us too but we have never been. Thinking of taking dd in the summer but wondered if it was worth the drive?

Hope you have a great hol!

Toilet stopped leaking but now have wet towels everywhere just waiting for floors etc to dry out. The toilet has never been right since we moved in - I will have to bite the bullet and just get it sorted sooner rather than later.

Ce - hope the bath helped ease the legs!

Hope everyone else is having a good weekend! Trying to have an early night tonight

Near Reigate in Surrey. It might be a good day out with grandparents as they are about 45 mins from Marwell so a good meeting place!
Thanks for the link will have a good look.

Evening all! Had an awful day really. I found I was spotting at about 11 this morning, mainly brown and mucousy, naturally I was terrified! I am sooo greatful that i have a doppler right now as I was able to reassure myself that baby is fine by listening to it's heartbeat for a minute or 2 several times today. The spotting has mainly stopped with slight tan streaked CM (Sorry for TMI). I have been having an on/off sharpish dull pain low down on the left. I thought maybe it is a cyst on the ovary? I have never had cysts before, so I may be well off. I am still scared that something can and might go horribly wrong. I will not be able to relax fully until this baby is in my arms. If I continue to have spotting tomorrow, I may risk A&E. Not that they could do anything to help and I have to accept that what will be, will be, it is down to my little bean to decide if this world is right for him/her.

Sorry to be on such a downer.

MJIM: I hope you have a wonderful holiday and that I have a fab scan photo to show you when you return (see, that's me being positive!)

HM2J - hugs to you. Brown is better (sorry but you know what I mean) as it not fresh blood. At least you have the doppler - have you got an EPU? They may be better for you, but prob not opened on a Sun? Thinking of you and hope you managed to get some rest last night.

Sending lots of positive vibes xxxxxx
