Deflated

Feeling a bit deflated today.

My cycles have always been irregular so pinpointing ovulation has always been impossible.

But I had light pink spotting that lasted 3 days earlier this month and I thought maybe that was implantation so I started testing but everything came negative so I thought maybe the spotting was ovulation but I've done 8 days back to back testing every day and everything still negative.

Not even a little faint line.
It's exhausting

When do I know I'm officially out for this cycle? When AF comes?

Sorry for the rant. I'm just deflated and exhausted

I feel your pain.

I lost my daughter at 16 weeks March 23.

I lost another pregnancy at 12 weeks in March this year.

Been active trying for the last 3 months and nothing. I’m 9dpo today and stark negative. Every single month I convince myself, this is it I feel really pregnant this month and then it’s just another let down. I know 3 months is nothing. But in all Of my pregnancies, including DS who is now 3 I have been lucky enough to catch the first month. I’ve upped my vitamins to include coq10, omega3, procieve but nothing is making a difference.

I am starting to give up hope.

how many dpo are you?

mummymeerkat90 · 01/09/2024 09:36

I'm so so sorry 😔

Sending you the biggest hugs!!

That's the thing... because my cycle is irregular I'm not sure, but I put the first day of my last period into a calculator online which says I ovulated on 22nd Aug so I'm 10 dpo according to that.

But I just don't know 😭

I get it @mummymeerkat90 i’m also feeling deflated.
I’ve had 2 miscarriages in the past 9 months, and so my cycles are all over the place. I’ve not been tracking ovulation as it’s been impossible to. It’s 7 weeks since my last period.
Wondering if I ovulated last weekend due to ewcm, but no idea. And a bfn on a test today.
Have you been TTC for long?

thejollytrolleydolly · 01/09/2024 13:18

@mummymeerkat90 have you tried BBT or using ovulation strips? I always find the strips quite useful for pinpointing ovulation as the apps can often be wrong. Then at least you will know when you need to be having sex and give yourself a better chance? TTC is a total rollercoaster so I'm sending you a massive hug. It took us 3 years to even get a positive pregnancy test which thankfully turned out to be a successful pregnancy but we're 2 years and one mmc into trying for another so I feel your pain. Fingers crossed it happens for you soon xx

mummymeerkat90 · 01/09/2024 13:20

Thankyou so much!
I used the Wondfo ovulation strips but I don't know if they were any good because I just kept getting one line so it just looked like I never ovulated but the spotting I had tells me otherwise.

I just don't know.

I suppose it's not over until the big red lady arrives

Just seen this message come through. Does this app not send you notifications or is it something I've done?

I came off the Mirena Coil on 2nd july because it was causing issues and I just wanted my body to reset itself without using any meds or messing with my hormones.
So I've been trying to track what my body is doing, but it's really difficult.

I'm kind of in the mindset 'if it happens it happens'
Telling myself I'm not really bothered whether I got pregnant or not.
But recently doing all these tests and looking up symptoms online kind of shows me that I am bothered really

Oh I’m not sure, I don’t use the app, just safari browser.

Ahh I know it’s so frustrating but I think coming off any sort of contraception messes things up for a while. But I totally get it, I am so frustrated at having long cycles, and not having as many changes of conceiving as other people because of it.

I get that, I tried to tell myself about if it happens it happens, but after having 2 miscarriages that mindset is long gone! I am very consumed by it all

Hi OP, I have long and irregular cycles too.... they've averaged 40-45 days this year and I put it down to perimenopause as I'm over 40.
I wasn't even trying to track ovulation as it's just impossible.

Anyway, I ended up testing on day 54 of my cycle after firmly putting it out of my mind. I only tested because I was suddenly aware that my boobs were feeling sore and heavy, and (the biggest telltale) I had to run to the bathroom to throw up at breakfast!
It was a very strong BFP.

Where I live, you get a scan early on so I went when I should have been 8 weeks from LMP, but I was only actually 6+1 due to late ovulation. All OK, had another scan at 8+2, now 10 weeks pregnant and got a 3rd scan this week (extra scans due to age and other risk factors)

I know it's not exactly the same but I just wanted to tell a positive story regarding late ovulation/long cycles.

Good luck

mummymeerkat90 · 02/09/2024 11:16

Oh wow!! Thankyou!! That helps.
I still have no period but still testing negative.

It's always un-nerving when you don't know what's happening in your body
I just want to know what's going on.

If I'm pregnant fantastic
If I'm not that's fine too

I'm just at the point know where I just want answers either way
