Hi all,

I've read online that some people have experienced heavy implantation bleeding and it can last for 3 - 4 days.

My period was due today and it started off with light pink spotting and later on turned into this. Still looks fairly pink to me on the outside? The cramps were pretty painful!

Is it best to test for pregnancy tomorrow or after a few days please?

I'm feeling quite confused.

Thanks so much

I’m afraid that just looks like a period to me. What made you think you might be pregnant? Sorry if that’s not the news you wanted x

Elisabeth3468 · 28/08/2024 21:30

That's your period x

Olika · 28/08/2024 21:31

To me that looks like periods and you say you are due today.

Pumpkinz · 28/08/2024 21:35

That's your period. Sorry x

I'm tempted to agree with you all - I've been burping very regularly since 5dpo and I've had a stuffy nose each morning too. I've been feeling fatigued too so I guess all these combined made me think there was a strong possibility that I might be pregnant this month.

I've read a few posts describing a heavy period-like flow for implantation bleeding which comes at a similar time to period so it just got me thinking.

I'll wait to see if the bleeding continues or stops early.

Thanks though anyway

You wouldn't bleed like that with implantation bleeding, it's usually very light and most people don't get implantation bleeding. I never have. Really hope your time comes soon ❤️❤️

I had implantation bleeding and it was nothing like this. (Literally a faint pink smear with I wiped myself.) This is your period....

Evergreen90 · 28/08/2024 22:23

Sorry but this looks nothing like my implantation bleeding. It’s a light pink smear usually. This is your period

pinkducky · 28/08/2024 22:25

If your period was due today you can take a test any time to be sure. If you're pregnant it would be positive by now x

whateveryouwantmetosay · 29/08/2024 04:13

Surely you learned when you were 11-14 what period blood looks like?
Why have you posted this?

Greeneyegirl · 29/08/2024 06:07

I had implantation bleeding with my second pregnancy and it was a light pink smear when I wiped after a wee two days before I was due on

DreadingWinter · 29/08/2024 06:14

I had it with my first. It was three days of light, but red, bleeding and I thought it was my period and completely dismissed the idea that I was pregnant. The next month I had no bleeding and thought I was pregnant, but I was four weeks further on than I thought. It is possible, but very unlikely in your case as it looks like a normal period.

shakeitoffsis · 29/08/2024 06:55

I had implantation with all my pregnancies and it was a what I assumed was a 'light' period for 3 days. Could be!

OliviaO · 29/08/2024 10:53

It does not look like implantation bleeding

Sorry OP, that’s your period. I had implantation bleeding which was brown in colour and much less (only when I wiped). Fingers crossed for next cycle for you xx

Yellowgoldsunshine · 29/08/2024 20:28

Sorry, I never had implantation bleeding. Best of luck to you, fingers crossed! x
