Hi
I have been ttc for 8 months, and due to having a underactive thyroid, my cycle has been completely messed up.
At least that is what my doctor has put my irregular cycle down to.
I am aware that this could be hampering my ability to concieve which does make me quite anxious as I am 37 years of age with early menopause in the family.
My last thyroid check showed tsh as been 19 so its underactive again after previously been brought right down to 0.2.
A doctor who I don,t normally see decreased my thyroxine but my regular doctor told me it was cut down too much, hence why tsh went down to 19 again so its now been increased again.
I have my first gyno appointment coming up after pushing my doctor for a refferal.
Does anybody know what is likely to happen at this appointment what they will ask, do, etc.

Is there anybody with thyroid problems who has had specialist input when ttc.

Yes I had thyroid probs, though I was 32 when had primary infertility treatment. There will probably be a pelvic exam and there maybe a scan of your uterus. I was prescribed Clomid which I took for 9 months before conceiving dd1.
