Hey ladies,
For about 5 days now I’ve been experiencing heartburn/reflux which I’ve never had before. And the last 2/3 days I’ve felt the pressure and frequent urination like I have a UTI but not sure if I do. Has anyone had these symptoms before? I’m only 8dpo. Not sure if they are related or I should see the dr.

Thanks so much

It might be worth doing an early response pregnancy test in a few days - you will soon know if its pregnancy or not :) x

Probably unrelated.

Implanting starts 7-12 dpo, it usually takes days after that for bHCG to build up, progesterone to keep increasing etc So that you can actually get early pregnancy symptoms. For most people, pregnancy symptoms start between 4-6 weeks of pregnancy as stated by the NHS website.

You can't get pregnancy symotoms before implantation, so the reflux you've had since 2-3 dpo is almost certainly unrelated.

It doesn't mean you're not pregnant, but it's really too early to tell. Best to avoid symotom spotting until you're far enough along to test reliably.

Edited for spelling

I can’t really add much here, but I had frequent urination and pressure/pain when I tested positive and I also had a UTI. I think with TTC regular sex increases the chance of UTI’s, especially if you don’t pee immediately after sex, or are prone to UTI’s anyway. Not much help I know 🤪 try to make sure you’re extra hydrated to flush out any bacteria if it is a UTI, and take a pregnancy test day before/of/after your expected period. If you’re still experiencing the pain even with a positive/negative test I’d still recommend making a GP appointment to test for infection too ☺️
