Hey

I am 29 and starting icsi this year. I have had my results back and my AMH is under 5. Worried about egg quantity and quality when it comes to my egg collection.

Any advice? Positive stories? Please help :D

Hi!
AMH is only part of the picture. I was told my AMH was 4.5. Each ovary still contained quite a good number of eggs. On egg collection day they managed to get 17 eggs and about 14 of those fertilised normally with ICSI. We ended up with 5 very good embryos, the first of which is sleeping on me right now :)

You are also 10 years younger than me so your eggs should be good quality.. wishing you the very best x

Oh really! This so reassuring thank you and congratulations on your baby <3

It came as such a shock to me due to my age! Was you recomnded anything or so anything in particular?

Also can I ask did they put you on a higher dose medication to help with eggs!

Thank you xx

Yeah I ended up on a higher dose of stims 300 mg (?) Of Ovaleap. I was charged more for it too. I think they thought I was a lost cause but my ovaries responded very well!

When i was 24 i was told my AMH was less than 5 and that if i wanted a baby i needed to do so straight away and that i would be infertile by the age of 30!! I got pregnant first try, had my first baby at 25, second at 26, third at 30 and forth at 33 now trying for my 5th!
