Hello!! First post here :)

I am already a mother to 4 with our baby just turning 4! We had decided she was our last but neither of us ever really felt done and decided we would go down the whatever happens happens route (unprotected sex but not actively TTC).

My cycles are 23-25 days. I had my last period on the 21st August and ended the 24th. we had sex the 25th and now today (27th) I had a niggling pain in my right side and spotting.

In my head I know its too early conception/implantation or anything like that but iv never had my period stop and then spotting start before.

Hard to say OP? Infection, peri, skin tear from sex, fibroid, burst cyst? They can all cause bleeding that is not menstrual.

Hello! By the sounds of it you're only on day 6 of your cycle so you probably haven't even ovulated yet. Have you been tracking ovulation? Sometimes people get spotting around that time?

Your cycle started 1 week ago on the first day of your period. This was 7 days ago. It's extremely unlikely that you've even ovulated yet.

Usually, the luteal phase (between ovulation and next oeriod) is 13-14 days for most people regardless of period length which would estimate your ovulation day at day 9-11 of your cycle at the earliest, with your short cycles.

That would put you in your FW now, and the sex you had on day 5 of your cycle was also potentially in your FW. Because sperm lives in our body for week.

However, those of us with short cycles often have shorter luteal phases (say, 10 days instead of 14), so you may ovulate a few days later than that, and not know.

I would recommend actively tracking LH (and BBT if you can), especially given that your cycles are significantly shorter than normal. For those of us with unusual cycles, assumptions can make us miss our FW.

Unless you guys regularly have sex 2-3 times a week, in which case you'll hit the fertile window regardless. The less frequent the sex, the more likely that you'll miss the FW some months.

And given that your chances if conception are at best maybe 26% each cycle that you DO hit the window, it helps to have an idea of when to aim for unless you're really horny!

So even putting aside that implantation takes 7 days after ovulation, we're not at the right oart of your cycle for you to be implanting.

The pain might be ovulation related? Or just not related to your cycle at all.

We were not actively TTC so haven't been tracking.

Today i am CD 9 and Iv had mild cramping in my right side and white gooey discharge with a pink tinge. Very similar to implantation in my 3rd pregnancy.

I know its all so early but my cycles are anywhere from 21 to 25 days
