Hi,
Last month. I came on early, 26 day. Normally I am 29 days. Today is day 29 for me, and no period yet. My boob's have been really sore ever since last week. Felt a bit nauseous last night, but put that down to me being in my head. I was really teary the other day. I know stressing out can delay a period, but its hard not to stress out. Help!

Your period may be a little late, but that can be due to lots of reasons. 1 or 2 days late is usually nothing to worry about.

If there is any chance you could be pregnant....take a test. There's no way to know you aren't pregnant without a test. Now that your period is late, a home pregnancy test should be reliable to rule out pregnancy.

The symptoms of early pregnancy and our premenstrual phase are very similar...because both situations feature a sharp rise in progesterone. So the feelings you are explaining not be anything to worry about.

Little update on this. I had some intense cramping yesterday and my lower back hurt. I am three days late today.

Is there a reason you aren't...just taking a pregnancy test?

During the premenstrual period and during early pregnancy, our body experiences a rise in progesterone - which means we can get similar symptoms.

Nobody in the world will be able to tell you if you are pregnant based on a couple of symptoms at this stage - you have to sit down and take a test. Talk to a friend if you're feeling anxious and stressed. But delaying isn't going to make the result less true or make it less stressful to find out.

If your test is negative, then you're not pregnant, you've had a longer cycle this month and hopefully your period will come soon. The cramps could be period cramps.

If the test is positive, you're pregnant. Pain and cramps could sometines mean a miscarriage if there is bleeding and you should ask a doctor for advice if you're not sure.

But nobody will know unless you take a test.

Bit of an update on this day 4 of no period. Negative test. At this point I just want my period.

Something is in the air! I am currently 5 days late with negative pregnancy tests and my sister was 6 days late this month before finally getting her period yesterday.. I keep thinking I’ve started and go to the toliet and nothing 🙈
