Hi all

I think im around 4 dpo (so Flo tells me I haven’t tested) and swear I keep getting strange pains in my boobs and a crampy/pulling feeling in my lower abdomen. I know the chances of these either being all in my head or something completely unrelated but it’s got me curious - what’s the earliest you’ve noticed a symptom(s) which ended in pregnancy?

this is my first cycle trying for #2 and with my dd it happened as soon as we started trying very unexpectedly so I wasn’t even symptom spotting.

I had really bad implantation pains - cramps like period pains. It was what made me do a test(we weren't trying). Pretty sure they started before my period would have been due. They were so bad I went for an early scan as I called 111 and they thought it was an ectopic pregnancy.

There could be a billion reasons for this.
Tracking down symptoms will not change the outcome of this cycle in all cases!
You can be pregnant and have no symptoms during TTW, and you can have billions of symptoms and not be pregnant!

My nipppes felt like they were on fire.

With both my babies I didn't have any symptoms at all until 5 and 7 weeks along respectively, so nothing during the TWW. At about 5 weeks with my oldest was when I started to feel "off", not really a specific symptom but like something felt weird and different. Then at about 6 weeks fatigue, sore boobs, and morning sickness all started to hit me. With my second I had no symptoms at all until I suddenly vomited in the middle of making lunch at 7 weeks.

Currently TTC baby #3 and I'm also 4dpo and trying not to symptom spot. I know given my other pregnancies I probably won't have any so looking for them will make me crazy.

With my dd I wasn't symptom spotting because I had given up hope of falling pregnant but I do remember getting my usual backache that comes with af but it just continued and my period never came so I did a test about 16dpo. My last pregnancy (mmc) I had pinching sensations in my lower abdomen and electric shock sensations in my boobs. When af was due I didn't have any symptoms which was why I tested because I normally get bad cramps and backache. I also got really bad anxiety around 7dpo both times. I imagine it was from the hormones raging in my body 😂 currently trying for #2 and a professional symptom spotter every month 😂

Definitely had that cramping heavy feeling first, then nausea from about 5 weeks

With my first, I conceived when we were on holiday. By the end of the holiday, my boobs were extremely tender so I just knew that I was pregnant as I never had that symptom with my period. I must have been about 11 or 12 dpo. I didn't test until we got home at 15 dpo and got a faint negative.

With my second, I had a pulling/twinge sensation in my lower abdomen, which made me do a test. I was around 5 days late for my period at that point but hadn't noticed as I was kept busy with my little one.

@StressStress oh no I know that, just curious to hear people’s experience! I didn’t have any symptoms with my first it was my husband who convinced me to test when I was a couple of days late!

More gassy - every time. No other symptoms until much later with my son and with my daughter I barely knew I was pregnant at all aside from that at the start.

Women with very early symptoms who go on to test positive often retrospectively decide they definitely were pregnancy symptoms after all, because of confirmation bias. Conversely, I have seen hundreds of threads now where people swear blind they've never previously had a particular symptom and then it turns out to be negative. I have also previously done this!

The only early detectable thing could possibly be a higher/ steeper rising progesterone level from a good quality corpus luteum, which may coincide with higher conception rates. It's progesterone which causes pretty much every symptom people reference in the two week wait - bloating, fatigue, breast soreness etc.

8dpo I had a slight lining tingling sensation, I assume from implantation, followed by light central cramps 9dpo. I tested positive 10dpo. For me my main indicators I was positive were very vivid dreams 9dpo onwards (at the point progesterone would otherwise be falling not continuing to rise) and the absence of a premenstrual mood dip.

I’d say the same as above. Earliest ‘signs’ for me was I was still temping and my bbt stayed higher & my rhr rate increased as well. I do remember having a few sharp pulling/tugging pains in the groin.

I just find it so interesting how some people have every symptom in the book and others none, or different every pregnancy!
