Late but not positive

I am 2 days late according to flo

I had some moods and headache was convinced my period was coming so felt glum but nothing,
Don't feel anything anymore nothing like period coming or sore boobs

Tested and negative

Really hoping I am but frustrating the test isn't showing anything

Could I just be late?!

I think it’s very unlikely sorry. Even the most regular person can suffer with occasional late periods. Trying to conceive is a stressful time and this can result in late periods (whether you actually feel stressed or not). Tests are very accurate and it would be rare to get a false negative after your period is due. I know it’s frustrating. I was two weeks late once when trying to conceive.

There is always a chance you have just ovulated later this month but if you're fairly regular, it sounds like just a late period which every woman gets occasionally with no explanation. Sorry.

Test results are highly accurate once your period is due, so likely just late

Since you have a negative test, you likely ovulated late. When you ovulate late it pushes your period back that number of days as well. Luteal phases tend to stay the same length for a lot of people. I once ovulated 6 days late (even my cervical mucus was on track for my usual day and disappeared after that day) if I wasn’t tracking I wouldn’t have known and then thought my period was 6 days late.

The Reasons could be

• you have not ovulated this cycle
• you have ovulated late or not yet
• you have ovulated late and conceived but it is too early to get a positive test
• you early MC

I will keep waiting and hoping

We only managed DTD on my last fertile day (according to flo) so if I did ovulate late hopefully there is still a chance.

I think if I am not positive this month I need to use some ovulation tests next time
