TTC after methotrexate

Just looking for experiences and not sure where is the best board.

Had a pregnancy of unknown location earlier this year treated with methotrexate. HCG took 7 weeks to reduce to non pg levels. Started a multitude of vitamins etc including folate from this date.

We’re coming up to when I am able to start trying again, I was told a whole host of different rules about trying again from 4 weeks after methotrexate, 12 weeks, to 12 weeks from non pg HCG test.

We’ve gone for the latter, however I’m coming up to our first chance to try and it’ll be 11 weeks from none pg HCG/when I started folate. From what I’ve read this is the only reason you wait so long, to increase stores of folate.

If I pay for a folate blood test and all is fine, is it still daft to try? I’d be 3-7 days under the 12 weeks needed but in a lot of other countries it looks like they advise a lot less time for folate stores to replenish.

I don't think a blood test is necessary and I think you can get back into the TTC now. However, your question is very specific and you should ask a healthcare professional trained in these matters.
Good luck !
