Early Ovulation- Anyone else?

Hi all, I'm 38 and TTC with first with one tube due to a previous Ectopic. My cycles are a bit all over the place since coming off the pill last October, however, the past 2 months, I have received my LH peak on CD6, which would mean ovulation possibly on day 7? I had ovulation confirmed via a scan.

I have read conflicting information about early ovulation , some say an egg released on day 7 would not be a viable egg and other articles say that pregnancy is still possible.

Just wondered if anyone else has experienced early ovulation and is it a major problem?

There is no reason why ovulation early in a cycle should not be successful if the egg meets a spermatozoid and there is fertilisation and then implantation. What information did the doctor who carried out the ultrasound give you on this subject?

Unfortunately, I didn't think to ask the clinic if this was an issue, that month was the first month I had such an early ovulation test and I didn't start getting concerned until the month after it where it was CD6 again.

I had suspected I wasn't ovulating at all, so, when the clinic confirmed I was, I was just so happy, everything else just went out of my head.

Thanks for confirming that you don't think early ovulation is an issue. I was on a facebook group and was told there is no way an egg would be viable so early on, but, I know I shouldn't always take the advice on non-experts!

Is it possible to call the clinic back to say that you have a question to ask afterwards, and ask if it would be possible to have a little chat on the phone with the doctor?
In any case, I've never heard such legends about ovulation taking place early, and I think it's scientifically false to think that it could cause a problem! What's more, the good news is that you can ovulate and you can be sure of it!

I think what I understand by ovulating so early on is when the egg implants it needs a thick enough lining to do so, early cycle is only thin lining, as you've not long had a period. But it's not impossible. Lots of women ovulate early and get preg. Don't believe everything you read, including what I've wrote as I could be very wrong. Good luck 👍🏼 ✨️
