I’ll put a picture of my flo app yesterday and todays so you can see the ovulation day tomorrow is todays picture….im wondering if I’ve ovulated to late this cycle now so just looking for some advice please, thank you xx

So your luteal phase tends to be a fixed amount of days. At least for most people. That’s why it’s moved your period back by x number of days.

It doesn’t matter if you ovulate a bit later, it just means AF will be that much later too (if it appears).

Do you think having a positive opk on cycle day 20 and ovulation on day 21 is too late? Means my luteal phase will be 9 days if it’s In the same place

@Kels21 no, I’m saying if your luteal phase is usually 10 days, it should stay as 10 days. So instead of AF appearing on 29th August, it’s expected on 1st September instead. You ovulate 3 days later so AF appears 3 days later. I hope that makes sense?

That’s how it works for a lot of people anyway. It’s why you often see people saying their period is late but they have a negative test, in a lot of cases it’s actually the ovulation that is later ‘than normal’ and that moves the period back by that number of days. If you don’t track ovulation you would never know it’s that causing the delay.

My cycles are usually 31 days, ovulate on day18/19. In 2022 I had one cycle where I ovulated 6 days late on day 24. That’s the cycle I concieved DS.

Yeah I get it thanks so much, I’m so on edge it’s all come to late this cycle and it won’t stick, been trying since Nov last year and just on tender hooks a bit lol x

@Kels21 good luck. It is hard each cycle. I thought I was completely out that cycle.

You probably already know this but if you have time then DTD today would cover your ovulation. You are in the fertile window.

Also if you haven’t by a year contact your gp for tests? Hopefully it happens for you soon though. I have a few set of friends who took ~10 months.

Kels21 · 20/08/2024 09:30

Thanks so much. I thought it was a peak but by the looks of the premom test it’s just high not a peak so do you think later it will peak? We dtd day before yesterday and day before that, didn’t last night but definitely will today x

When I enter mine, mine say high until I input another that’s lower and then my high turned in to peak. That might happen to you, or you might have a stronger one.

Blue2020 · 20/08/2024 12:03

My peak has been 0.86 and 0.92 in previous months. Sometimes I don’t reach past 1.

Kels21 · 20/08/2024 12:19

Ahh that’s interesting to know thank you both x

So my peak was yesterday, it’s lower today the tests are lighter, we didn’t get chance to dtd last night, am I to late to do it today?

OP posts:
Peonies12 · 21/08/2024 09:56

Definitely do it today, likely you have / will ovulate today. And my luteal phase was always the same number days, so if I ovulated later in the cycle, it was still 14 days til my period, so it made my overall cycle longer.

Kels21 · 21/08/2024 10:06

Thank you, if my peak was yesterday though and I’ve already ovulated won’t I have missed it? I did it two days leading up to yesterday but then didn’t do it the two days before the peak so I’m a bit worried I’ve missed it, the love hearts on the picture is where we’ve dtd
