Negative ovulation tests

Hi all, this is my first time posting here.
It’s my first cycle TTC for a second baby (my little girl is 2) since having her, I’ve had a regular cycle 28-30 days usually. And I usually notice the egg white discharge mid-cycle. I bought ovulation tests this month and didn’t get a single positive. I did notice the usual discharge though.
my question is - should I rely on ovulation tests or is it best to stick to tracking cycle / observing my own body? Im now concerned that I dint ovulate, based on all the negative tests - or could I have just missed the LH surge?? I tested morning and evening for around 5 days mid cycle.
thanks in advance x

@KC1234 Hi, 5 days likely isn’t enough and you could have ovulated outside of this time. How long is your cycle usually?

I would suggest starting on day 7/8 unless you have a really long cycle then start a bit later. Just keep going until you get a peak (assuming it’s the lh tests eg easy at home or similar).

I got pregnant twice after negative ovulation tests 😂
I just don't think they work for me, I must have a really short peak or something.
I got told if you have regular cycles it's very unlikely that you're not ovulating.

Thanks both!
yes it’s the LH tests I’ve been using
I guess next month I’ll use them for a longer time frame, but yes I was also thinking it’s unlikely I’m not ovulating based on such regular periods. My cycle is 28-30 days
thanks again :) x
