Symptoms of my TWW ending in a BFP

Hey girls, i just got my faint line yesterday while i was 12DPO

I used to stay up late every night during my TWW reading all of your stories and hoping I’d get lucky this cycle and I did :)

I had a missed miscarriage at 18 weeks in May this year so I had two cycles after that, I just logged my periods with flo and have generally always had a strict 28 day cycle, made sure we were active during the fertile windows but with work and home stresses we were mostly every other day really

ive read alot of comments from people encouraging to ‘not compare’ symptoms,I do get this but id have been lost without being able to listen to other people’s stories of how they felt, so that’s why im writing mine now.

i tend to feel ovulation, this month it was an ache in my right side and pretty much as soon as the TWW started I began with cramps most days, it started just on my right side and sometimes in my back, mild but noticeable. One of the things I didn’t suffer with and still haven’t (even though I have by now in all of my pregnancies) is sore boobs, it’s just not happened yet for me.

i did get bloated around 10dpo and eventually was just full of wind and some of farts would wake my fella haha (constipation on and off too)

bare in mind I tested every morning and night from 6dpo and even the night of 11dpo I was still getting stark white results, but tried a different brand of test that same night and a vvvvfl shown, this test wasn’t even a sensitive one like the one step claim to be so I was baffled.

ive always been a cheap test buyer from Amazon (one step with the blue on) this time Around testing I wasn’t a fan at all, I had a gut feeling to trust the less sensitive and went to Tesco to buy a clear blue on day of 12dpo, a line shown right away, I trusted my gut on this and if I was to do it again, I wouldn’t rely on one brand and one batch of tests.

i also looked back on the beginning of my last pregnancy and saw that I got a result 3 days before my period then also, so don’t dismiss the test even if it says 6 days before because that didn’t work for me and I was pregnant.

because of what I’d read on here, I gave up hope on 10dpo but I could feel something different to my usual pre period symptoms and the biggest for me was cramping, I only get that the day of my period usually.

another good sign was a little pull pain in my right side if I rolled in bed, I’ve gotten that in all of my pregnancies so far.

but we’re all different so just trust your gut, some ladies don’t get symptoms at all, I was gutted and squeezing hell out of my boobs hoping to feel pain because they were so painful early on in my other pregnancies, so it’s bloody difficult

but I love these forums and I’m glad to have had them for those sleepless nights

I hope this helps somebody in their TWW and I hope you get your result, I’m so excited for you!!

Just wanted to say thank you for your post. I enjoyed reading it ☺ I'm 8dpo after a MMC at 9.5 weeks so I'm in that agonising wait to test. X

I’m sorry to hear that. I know it’s hard, I was 18 weeks although the baby was still 12 unfortunately, I hope you’re keeping positive that you’ll get your rainbow baby, I’ve been teary all day looking back at it all but obviously happy that I’ve been given another chance, how are you feeling? Any symptoms so far? X

Congrats on your bfp! Yes I think so, cramping since ovulation, sore boobs, increase cm, dizziness, back ache, all pretty much every day for the past week. All are what ive had before, I'm due AF Friday so I'm only 8dpo today. I have 3 children and have had 2 MMC. The last one being only 3 weeks ago and had surgery, I'm very blessed to have my 3 but dosent stop the heart break of losing one 😔 its put a huge hole in our lives we didn't think needing filling but it's shown us what we really want so I would be soooo happy to get a bfp next week 🤞

Hi there!
I'm very happy for you and I understand that you want to share the good news.
However, a symptom doesn't mean much.
Every woman and every pregnancy is different.
There's no need to feel "lost" during the luteal phase, because you can't control what your body does anyway.
I wish you a physiological pregnancy :)

Hello!

I’ve genuinely not meant any harm with my post, I agree it can cause people to compare, if the ladies here are anything like me they’ll probably look to do it anyway, we’re all just hoping for the same outcome and sometimes talking about our symptoms is just interesting I suppose. You’re right, every body is different and I mostly compared my own body to how I felt at the time, in comparison to the way I felt on the months that I got my period.

apologies if I’ve caused offence, and thankyou for the well wishes :)
