Clearblue static smiley

Just wondering what the static smiley actually means.
I know it's hormone detection etc, but does it mean ovulation is occurring, or about to occur?
On the box it says 48hrs peak.

Aka.... Best to do it tonight and tomorrow to cover all bases? 😂 (last night happened anyway, so that's a bonus)

There are two different types of peak with those tests. A static smiley means you're either coming into peak or going out the other end. A flashing smiley face means it's a PEAK PEAK day!

Had first flashy smiley on Saturday (CD10) solid smiley today (CD15) 🥰

I'm just a bit shocked because last month my solid smiley was CD19

@Shoemadlady this information is incorrect. Flashing means rising oestrogen ahead of LH peak (still a good time to have sex), a static identifies the start of the LH surge/ the two most fertile days.

What @sirensong said! Technically it's measuring 2 different hormones, whereas the normal stick tests only look for your LH peak ☺️

Yup! 😂 The day of the static smiley and the day after are the highest chance of conception. Good luck! 🍀
