Ovulation help

Hi everyone,
After a bit of help for someone who’s new to TTC, this month is our 2nd month so I’m fairly naive to everything!
I came off the pill over a year ago and started tracking my cycle, could always find an LH peak on the tests with no issues. The last couple of months I’ve had no LH peak but ovulation confirmed on Natural cycles using BBT.
Started using the easy at home strips this month and there is no sign of a rise in my LH despite the fact ovulation is predicted for Saturday. Is it normal to ovulate with no LH peak detected?

My peak only happens the day before ovulation and it’s also very low the day before that. Some people have a short sharp increase. I would recommend testing twice a day eg morning and late aft/eve.

Is the Premom set based on your last cycle? How fixed are your cycles? Would you say cd15 is typical in your cycle?

If you don’t know that’s ok. Premom can be wrong. Mine was this month because my cycle last month was a bit odd. So I just ignored the prediction and kept testing lh until the peak appeared. Oh also you can have a rare odd cycle where ovulation is delayed.

All that said if you are in your fertile window start dtd. Now would count if you end up ovulating on saturday.

What happened to the bbt for today, it’s on zero? An error?

Oh if you go past Saturday without a peak still keep testing. You might be on an odd cycle with late ovulation. Unless bbt confirms it happened.

Thanks for all this- it's so helpful, totally told myself I was going to relax and not get myself worried with all of this..that lasted long didn't it 😂
My cycles are usually 28-30 days and ovulation is normally 15-17. Previous months i've only tested in the morning so will start twice daily now, I hadn't realised there could be such a quick increase.
No idea what's gone on with BBT, it dropped today, but definitely not to 0!

I know what you mean. When you get very close to your predicted o day and there isn’t a peak I understand the confusion/concern. Usually my peak then happens the next day. Once I had a cycle where ovulation was 6 days late (vs my usual ~cd 18) and that’s never happened before, by day 4/5 I was convinced I wouldn’t ovulate that cycle.

To be honest you might still catch some of the surge if it’s once a day but twice a day definitely helps. Especially if it’s the fertile window so you know it’s coming.
