Negative test 8dpo

Hi there
So new to this so unsure who to ask so thought I would ask on here as everyone is different. I feel I have some early symptoms but am only 8dpo and took two tests both are negative. My friend got a faint line at 8dpo but should I assume i’m not pregnant now? Or try another test tomorrow? (and a few days after). Any advice would be great! :)

Hey! I’m also 8dpo :) when is your period due? 8dpo is still early, you usually implant between 6-12dpo, then it takes a couple of days for the hcg to build up to show up as positive on the test. I hope this helps, fingers crossed for us both :)

Forgot to say, personally I’ll be testing again tomorrow because I’m addicted 😂 but do what works for you! You can test again tomorrow or leave it a couple more days :)

8dpo is way too early! You need to wait until the day of your missed period for a reliable result.

I'm 7dpo and considered testing tomorrow but realistically only about 18% of people who will go on to test positive will get a positive test at 8dpo. With my first I only tested at 13dpo (I'm way more impatient this time!) and it was still quite a faint positive, so I doubt it would have been positive 5 days earlier.

Fingers crossed for us all anyway.

I'm in the camp of no early testing because I know I'd get totally obsessed with it if I allowed myself to.
Both pregnancies I've only taken one test a minimum of 7 days after a missed period. I've never wanted to test earlier incase I pick up a chemical, I'd rather not know but that's just me.

From what I have read about early testing though, 8dpo is the absolute minimum you can get a faint positive and it won't show up for everyone. Good luck.
