Clearblue Pregnancy Tests

Can two positive tests be false? I'm 46 and I thought I was too old to get pregnant.

I've rung early pregnancy unit and they say I've two options....the second is to terminate the pregnancy but I don't know how far along I am or how long I have to make a decision. How can you find out?

I don't know how many periods I've actually missed I just know last time my husband and I had sex was on holiday 2.5 months ago.

I've asked him what he wants to do but he keeps reflecting the question back to me! I think keeping baby is doable but am I really pregnant? Should I try another pregnancy test.....are the ones that show how far along you are worth it?

I know I'm going to have to decide what to do really soon but I'm finding it hard to make a decision.

Please help!

I would say you are pregnant, rare to get 2 false positives. I know people on here say clear blue are known for Evaps . Have you got a pic?
do you want the baby?

These are the images below. Should I do a few more tests? I want to be certain. Thank you

Suggest doing a test with a different brand to be sure as the line on both of those looks broken/ not full thickness. If you are pregnant you must be about 12 weeks and should have a scan asap to be sure. Have you had any symptoms?

lonelyfemale · 13/08/2024 17:40

No symptoms other than missed period.

If another test shows a positive you can request a 12 week+ scan via your GP or check how far gone you are on a private scan. They'll be able to tell from measurements. HCG levels alone won't tell you this far in.

I would take those tests as evap as the lines are thin. You need to do a digital ones so you can see if it actually says pregnant.

I agree with pp the lines look on the thinner side and one line appears broken, so i’d be inclined to say they’re evaps. clear blue can be a bit iffy when you’re earlier on but if you were this far gone they’d likely be a bit clearer, maybe try a different brand?

I wouldn’t take them as positive. The line is too thin and not even complete in one of them. Get a pink dye one or a digital but I wouldn’t be panicking over them.

Ok thank you everyone.
