Hi all,

Has anyone else experienced this clear blue early detection tests? The lines are so blue.

False positives... every other test is negative/evap line. My cervix does feel high, AF due in 3-4 days

TIA xx

Your cervix feels high?? What? 4 kids and never heard of that being a factor in potential pregnancy? Only birth?

Yes I believe the cervix is higher in early pregnancy. This was a sign of my last pregnancy too

How/why are you feeling your own cervix regularly? How bizarre

It's absolutely not bizarre 🤦‍♀️ it's normal for women to know their own bodies!

Kellyaust · 09/08/2024 21:47

OP... Never use clear blue they're horrendous. Pick up a pink dye test. Also your cervix can still be high at this point for most women it usually moves down maybe 1-2 days before AF arrives, more telling is if it's hard or soft?

Any need to be so rude? Women who are really hoping to conceive are aware of every little thing that can mean a potential pregnancy...

Knowing your own body is perfectly healthy and normal.

Ahh thank you! I thought it was around 1-2 weeks before it drops lower. It is quite soft.

The pink dye test have come back negative albeit they are cheap ones and unsure if they'd detect early. Can't find a first response one anywhere!

With my pregnancies my cervix has been really firm before my bfp, it could be different for you as we're all different aren't we but yeah I wouldn't bother with clear blue at all unless its the digital 6 day early one then it's clear in words. I got a positive digital at 10dpo last pregnancy so 4 days before AF was due x

meadowkoa · 09/08/2024 22:23

Thank you @Kellyaust with my first I got a positive 9dpo! I have had other pregnancies that unfortunately didn't end well, the first sign being that tests were getting more and more faint.

The tests have completely thrown me off as it's never happened to me before. My gut is telling me I'm not pregnant, guess I'll wait for AF! Xx

These were my evaps on clear blue a while ago x

Yes well I know he feeling these evaps I had were the cycle after I had a miscarriage at 12 weeks....so they were very very heartbreaking so I always warn people away from them tbh

Thank you hun, did yours have the blue colour in them too? I think that's what's confused me the most as I've had evaps but not with so much colour.

It's a horrible feeling isn't it. You would think from such a popular brand that it wouldn't happen at all xx

They were blue yes it's crazy they should be taken off the shelves! Hopefully you get your bfp soon 🤞

cherrybl0ssom5 · 10/08/2024 11:06

these appear to be evaps as the lines are thin and on the top one the line appears inconsistent x

Ahh I know. I wasn't holding my breath to them. I did an ovulation test this morning and it was positive. It's really thrown me off x

I found out I was pregnant with an ovulation test being positive. Take a first response. Fingers crossed for you!

WithOneLook · 10/08/2024 11:32

Lots of people who do IVF/fertility treatment use ovulation sticks for their bfp as they say it detects the pregnancy earlier than HCG sticks, although it's not something I've used personally.

I would recommend the 'clear and simple' early detection sticks. The ones in plastic cases sold as singles and are around about £1 in home bargains/savers. They are pink dye and have picked up all of my pregnancies around 9/10dpo, even the ones I lost and I've never had a false positive. I also really liked the clear blue 6 days early detection tests which use words like someone else mentioned up thread.

As a serial tester, I'd be cautiously optimistic with the positive ovulation test and the clear blue (although I've not had evaps in the time personally to be confused by).

Good luck and take care whatever the result.

you could try the amazon one step strip tests, I found them really reliable, when I wasn’t pregnant they were stark white & early days into my pregnancy there was a visible line. I’ve seen a lot of ladies on here use them as well xx

Blue2020 · 12/08/2024 05:26

@meadowkoa I ordered the first response tests on Amazon. Is that an option where you live if you can’t find them in the shops?

I've got them off Amazon before but they aren't on prime and I'll have to wait a week x
