How long for conception?

No judgement please!!

I am in a long term relationship and we had been trying to conceive but I regrettably had a drunken one night thing with a stranger that I can barely remember. Now this was on a Saturday night and I found out I was pregnant on the Thursday after (4/5 days later) the test read 1-2 weeks. My period was due on the Friday. Is it possible this baby could be the strangers?

No 7 days later would be the earliest possible from day of conception and that is extremely rare!

Seems incredibly unlikely, unless you have irregular cycles? Most people ovulate two weeks before their period is due, so most likely you would have ovulate well before Saturday, and been pregnant already. Please do get a STI test if that's a risk. implantation after conception takes at least 5-6 days, and even then it usually takes a few days for HCG to rise enough to show on a test.

Could be. 1-2 weeks just means low HCG levels i.e. a few days pregnant.

It's pretty much unheard of to get a positive test 4/5 days after conception. So I don't think there's a real risk that it's the stranger's.

Almost certainly you had already conceived when you slept with the stranger, extremely likely to be your partners. However, not 100 percent. With any doubt like this, the only real way to know for sure would be to have a DNA test.

Please get an STI test, they can cause a lot of problems when pregnant and bear in mind that some won't show for a few weeks longer such as HIV.
