LH progression - is this positive?

First time doing a LH test during my cycle so I am not sure what to think of this… I want to believe that the Wed 7pm strip was positive however the line is supposed to be the same colour or darker than the control line and I do think it’s just slightly lighter. Does that mean it’s negative? I have hoped it would get higher with my next tests but it just faded back down. Unsure now whether this will mean that I will ovulate this month or not. Feeling really down now. What is your experience with those tests?

A positive test is one where the test line is as dark as or darker than control line so I wouldn’t say any of those are positive x

I never got a line that was darker than the test line, and been pregnant twice. I found using the PreMom app with the easy @ home tests was best as it reads the tests for you. Most important you start regular sex once the tests start to get darker, I wouldn't wait for the positive/peak as it's possibly to miss this.

Oh wow that is so helpful to know! Thanks so much for letting me know, that is very reassuring.

I was also going to recommend the Premom app. I use that.

Also if you are up for tracking to know for certain if you ovulated you could try bbt, temperature check each morning. I use it as an addition to lh just to make sure after the lh peak that I ovulated. It’s likely not needed, every time I have had a lh peak so far I have ovulated. However my last few lh tests have not been as strong, but bbt took that doubt away.

I would recommend the app as well but I always found EWD the best indicator for me personally as it's such a short window to pin point it with the strips

Yes that is a good point. I do track my BBT and CM as well, however I have found my temperature rises less reliable because I tend to have low progesterone, and currently investigating why that could be since I ruled out many things already.

Sorry, what does EWD mean? Not come across that before!

Ah okay. It’s good that you are investigating the low progesterone.

You might see some refer to it as ewcm.

@Kateeeeeeee egg white discharge

Ah I see! Yes apparently that’s a very good indicator as well. I read through the whole book „taking charge of your fertility” which is quite popular and it is discussed in a lot of detail there. But even she says in the book that not everyone who successfully ovulates will have that typical egg white which is interesting. Fascinating how different we all are and goes to show that all these signs are just a guide, but never a guarantee.

I typically always see that kind of fertile discharge however this month it was unusually little, almost that I wondered if this is really it, which seems unusual for me. I worried this might indicate a less than optimal cycle however I keep reminding myself that it doesn’t necessarily need to mean that. On other months when I had multiple days of very obvious eggwhite and thought that this would be an amazing month, I ended up having terrible PMS symptoms along with very low progesterone and consequently barely a chance at conceiving. So I keep telling myself that the fact I barely had eggwhite this month doesn’t have to mean anything bad… sorry, gone a bit off brainstorming and reflecting on this for myself now!
