Will attach a photo of my chart
pre mom is saying I have ovulated and fertility friend is giving no prediction. I’d say no I haven’t! Had really clear positive OPKs but then my temps have shown no increase! What do you all think? Orange line OPK blue BBT!
used clear clue OPK’s and had static Saturday and then peaked on the cheapies on Sunday! Will keep testing with OPKs and temping and just see what happens, but my guess is I’ve not ovulated 😩! We did so well to cover what we thought was fertile period too!

You never know, your temps might shoot up tomorrow 🤞🏼 But if not, keep testing because your body might try again in the next few days.
How long are your cycles normally?

Blue2020 · 07/08/2024 22:29

There was someone else on here recently who posted and her temp didn’t increase until 4dpo but has then stayed high. So maybe you ovulated later after the peak and maybe your temp will rise tomorrow. As pp said that or maybe your body will try again in a few days time. Keep testing for lh and bbt just incase it’s either option?

Peonies94 · 08/08/2024 21:31

thank you! Cycles usually 30-50 days! Have been more 30-37 days recently though! CD22 now, still no temp rise last night, in fact a very slight drop!
Still testing once a day, do you think that’s enough? Only testing on the cheapies at the moment too. Do you think I should go back to my clear blue? Obviously they reset after the 48 hours so will have to go back to the start there! I’ve been still getting really negative results on the cheapies!

@Peonies94 you mentioned no temp rise ‘last night’ when do you take your temperature? Is it after a long sleep? Not in the morning?

I can’t really comment on the clear blue. If it was me and I was doubting that ovulation occured I would probably test twice a day on the cheap tests.

MrsG2022 · 08/08/2024 22:10

Sounds like it’s the norm for your body to try a few times per cycle to ovulate as your cycle lengths vary so much. Keep tracking and BDing on the peaks 🤞🏼

I recon stick with the cheapies, it’ll save you money and you can do multiple a day once you start to see a rise in levels.

Peonies94 · 09/08/2024 09:12

@Blue2020 i record my temp throughout the night and then download the data in the morning, when i downloaded it yesterday morning there was no increase for that night, however this morning I have a slight increase, but not compared to what my other temps had been, gone up 0.9!
Okay I’ll try twice a day! I’ve used the cheap ones on and off for about 20 cycles but used to listen to the digital clear blue the majority of the time, often they’d both be on the same page!
@MrsG2022 I’ve had two peaks in one other cycle of the 26 I’ve been ttc, so it could actually be that again! I have however in the last 10 cycles not had any ovulations at all on 5 occasions, so I’m worried about that too! In the annovulatory cycles though, I don’t usually get as strong of a peak as I had this month, in fact it’s not half as strong, so seeing that strong line I felt hopeful! 😔 it’s my first clomid cycle and was really hoping it had worked to give me ovulation, maybe that’s what give the better lines!
thank you for all your help!

Yeah I’ll stick with the cheapies! I do feel like I’ve spent so much money on the clear blues as they’ve gone up in price so much recently, especially with my long cycles! I just always felt like spending more would mean a more accurate result, but I absolutely don’t think that’s true anymore!

Could this be the start of something? Had pretty much completely stark white OPKs though the last couple of days! It’s been 6/7 days since my peak OPKs and the last 2 days my temps have gone up slightly! Think I’m just holding onto something that isn’t there! 😔

Potentially but your temps are still in the same range as they have been before, and in the low 30s. Also if there’s no LH an egg wont get released. You’ll ideally want your temps to start heading towards 36.6 ish to show ovulation. I’ve attached my chart for this month for reference if that helps at all?

Keep tracking for now, hopefully LH will start to rise again in a few days 🤞🏼

Peonies94 · 11/08/2024 18:59

@MrsG2022 okay thank you! Why 36.6 ish? Is that because of the start of my temps this month? I’m a bit confused about this cycle as my temps started off really high, higher than what my post ovulation temps use to be. Usually the highest I get post ovulation is 36.45, but often lower than that!
im guessing my clomid hasn’t worked though!I seem to have only ovulated 3 times since November so was really hoping clomid would have been what I needed!

OP posts:
MrsG2022 · 12/08/2024 16:39

Yeah you want them to be noticeably higher than your temps have been for the first half of your cycle, for most people this is usually a minimum of 0.3 degrees, so looking at your temps from this month I assumed yours will be around the 36.6-36.7 mark post ovulation. But maybe if your normal temps are a bit lower then your 36.4-36.5 is normal for you post O.

It’s a shame clomid doesn’t seem to have helped on this cycle. Fingers crossed for the next one! TTC is such a mind game, especially when there’s no clear cut answers to things.

Peonies94 · 13/08/2024 09:19

@MrsG2022 thank you! Such a mind game isn’t it! Also this cycle for me was really up and down, which is strange. Seems to be more of a hormone imbalance.
Think my period is going to arrive soon, had some cramping and usual period pains!
I know, I really thought clomid may have been what I needed. I have one more cycle left to try.
sending best wishes to you too!

MrsG2022 · 13/08/2024 21:42

Maybe clomid did have some sort of effect this cycle, just not to the point of getting ovulation going? Definitely think your body reacts to stress as well, which isn’t great when you can’t help but stress 😂

Have you looked into pcos? I used to only ovulate a few times a year and my charts were all over the place. Finally got diagnosed and Dr put me on metformin. Within 3 months I had regular cycles and 4 months later I got pregnant naturally. And cycles have been regular ever since giving birth 2 years ago as well. There’s definitely hope for it to sort itself out one way or another 🤞🏼

Peonies94 · 22/08/2024 06:50

@MrsG2022 so true about the stress! I have read about it, but I had fertility tests for nearly a year when I tried for my first and wasn’t diagnosed with it.
been trying for my second for almost a year, but was breastfeeding until recently so think that may have maybe had an impact, and now I’m not sure if the temps being up and down is to do with my hormones getting back to normal or whether it’s something else! I went back to the drs and was given clomid, so just tried that but will see what happens in the next month and then look into other things again!
