When do you class your LH peak from?

Hey ladies 👋🏼

Hoping someone can clear this up for me as I'm never too sure when to class my 'PEAK' as.... So I have attached two photos to this post.... The first photo is of an LH strip on the 26th of July.... The second photo is of an LH strip on the 27th.

The first was taken in the evening and the second was midday the following day.... as the second is darker does that mean that is my PEAK or do I class the first as it?

Would I class ovulation day as the 27th or 28th? Trying to work out my DPO.... tests all negative so far, but holding onto hope ✨🙏🏼

I think it's the darker one. Do you put it on the premom app? That'll tell you your peak and then what DPO you are etc :)

Go by the darkest one and you'll likely ovulate 8-20hrs later so I always count it as the following day. Did you do another one to confirm it went negative After this one? That's what confirms it as your peak.

The darkest one; which looks like the 28th here but the lighting is too different. Premom is great but will also struggle because of the lighting. You want those photos to be as uniformally lit as possible so you can easily identify which line is darkest x

Thanks ladies 🙏🏼

I do use the premom app, but because my LH strips tend to be dark for a couple of days, I always get confused on which one to class as 'PEAK' .... so we are thinking CD17 then? 🤔 Here's a photo of my chart.... I've just changed it to 'PEAK' as I had the day before as it originally! So I could technically still only be 8DPO.... I've been testing these last couple days and getting disheartened already 🥴🫠 (MMC last year and ruptured ectopic in January; lost my right tube) .... So I am a bit of a POAS addict 🤦🏻‍♀️😂✨

I usually use the same lightening but was in a rush that day so had to snap it whilst getting ready quickly! 🫠 x

I'd say you ovulated on 28th.

Looking at the premom screenshot it's definitely CD17 - CD16 is dark but is under 1.0 and so wouldn't actually count as positive (as positive is over 1.0)

This isn't reliable, because the lighting is so different. The numbers on PreMom are worthless if the lighting isn't good, it's just guessing.

Also, some people don't peak over 1.0.

CD17 does look the darkest but it's also the only one with decent lighting, so that could well be a trick of the eye.
