Hi guys.

I’m TTC following a miscarriage and have been tracking my ovulation and BBT. This cycle I thought I was out as I had a really low peak and my bbt didn’t rise that much. However i’ve now had a BBT spike and premom has generated a cover line. Does anyone know what’s going on and if i did in fact ovulate this cycle? Any help would be much appreciated

Keep measuring, it takes three consecutive high temps to confirm ovulation. It does look odd, but it does say online it can take up to 3 days for the temp to increase. Everyone is different, mine usually rises the day after ovulation, although one time it was two days after.

Maybe you just ovulated on the later side after the peak- eg 36-48hrs after? So potentially even cd14. Only guessing. I would keep measuring both for a few more days if I was you.

Also how often did you measure the lh? Once a day, twice? I’m wondering if it went any higher but was just missed?

So I basically tested multiple times a day during what I thought was my peak then went back to testing once a day because I had such a low peak and my bbt wasn’t doing much and I thought I was out. It is possible I had another peak and I missed it as a result. I just think it’s so strange i’ve had such a spike at 4 dpo and it’s staying that way at least today anyway. I thought the spike was just maybe because of other factors as it’s been hot recently but I had another high temp again today. I’ll keep testing. I’m just so baffled .

See what tomorrows is like. Are you also feeling well in yourself, no illness or fever?

It does look like you might have ovulated. Fertility friend usually confirms after three consecutive days of high temp. You might already be familiar with it.

It is strange why it’s happened 4dpo though and not 1-2dpo which is more typical. Then again if you ovulated a bit late then if you took three days for the temp to rise I guess it could just about line up with all the ranges out there. I’m only guessing though.

Also at least you are covering the 1-4dpo with DTD so it’s covered just incase it was a later ovulation too.

Thank you I’ll keep an eye on it and keep testing. TTC is a whirlwind 😢

I forgot to mention I had light pink spotting on CD14 when I wiped, then it never happened again afterwards. Hoping it’s all positive and maybe Im just thinking too much into it.

@SammyBear168 I would say you have ovulated. Your temperature is staying up. Possibly ovulated on cd14 linked with the minor spotting.

Thank you fingers crossed. Very strange but next cycle I will make an effort to test LH more (hopefully won’t need to 😂)
