TTC after loss part 5

Ella31 · 04/08/2024 18:18

Just continuing our old thread. I've added anyone who has asked to stay on here. As always, anyone who is trying after a loss is welcome to join and those who have been lucky since are welcome to encourage those who are still waiting for their rainbow (if you want to stay of course )

Also for the next thread, I'm going to let someone else take over creating the new one if people don't mind. I've a lot on at the moment with tests and I'm back to work in the next few weeks after my bereavement leave with my boys. So if anyone would like to take the mantle, feel free.

Im 2dpo today and have another ultrasound on Wednesday to see if follicle has burst followed by pdg blood test.

@DonnaWhat this could deffo be implantation at 7dpo i would think too early for AF spotting. But then just when I think I know my cycle AF throws me off.
keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you xxxx

DonnaWhat · 11/08/2024 09:07

@Beanie14 AF just loves to throw the curve balls. I spotted from 10dpo right upto af myself last month. But it didn't look like this. Of course I caved and got bfn this morning but that's OK because I know it's early. I should be able to resist now until Tuesday. Busy day today at the air show to occupy myself and work tomorrow so I should be able to resist. Where are you in your cycle?

@Ella31 @Figtree11 How are you 2 getting on? Xxxx.

Ella31 · 11/08/2024 09:18

A very tentative bit of news......but bfn yesterday morning. However, last night and early this morning. I've vfl on a clearblue 6days early, the fast one minute one, boots 6 days early and two of the easy at home and mom med strip test. I'm 9dpo.

The fact it’s on all of the tests is a good sign. I had a super feint line at 9DPO and did a digital the next day and it was positive. sending you all the positive vibes xx

How feint are you talking? It's an obvious line with colour and has thickness but still feint if that makes sense.

Oh my heart is bursting but I can't get ahead of myself either.

Hi just to introduce myself. Been on my TTC journey for 8 months now. I have one son who’s almost 3 now. Was hoping for a much smaller age gap but this journey has taken so much longer than I expected. Had a MMC at 14 weeks before my son and just last month had a chemical. I’m worried that I’m unable to conceive again as a result of an emergency C section when I had my son.

@Ella31 eeeek!!! This is such exciting news fingers crossed lines continue to progress xx

Honestly, this has made my day 🥰 mine were so faint at 8/9dpo. Unfortunately I changed phone so don't have the pics anymore but if it has colour then you're absolutely fine! You can do another test this evening if you do enough of a wee hold ❤️❤️

Onthedouble123 · 11/08/2024 10:04

@Ella31 I can't tell you how excited I am for you. I reeeeaally hope this is it!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻💕💕💕
Multiple faints sound good especially across different brands. Xx

ToeBeans24 · 11/08/2024 10:16

@Ella31 I’ve been keeping everything crossed and waiting for an update from you although no longer active on this group. Sending every piece of good luck your way. Keep us posted xx

Ella31 · 11/08/2024 10:36

Enough about me. I hope everyone is doing well. Where are ye all at with your cycle?

@Beanie14 welcome. I know you well from another thread. Hopefully you'll find your luck here. And don't worry about your emergency section. I had one and loads of my friends did too, they had more babies. I'm willing that once you recover fro your recent loss, you'll have good news

I understand that, but I'm optimistic for you as you've tested across a few brands 🙂 can't wait to hear his reaction once you have your digital x

So I've just had a potential spanner thrown in the works. Since Tuesday I've had pain in my abdomen area (knew it wasn't pregnancy/ttc related as I was on CD4 then). Tuesday was severe pain, had to take the day off work, spent the day writhing in pain with painkillers not touching it. Telephone appointment with the GP was useless. The only thing that stopped me going to a&e with the pain was the fear I would be told it was trapped wind and I just needed a fart 😂

Pain has improved alot since however I still have pain in my ribs. Finally got to see a GP face to face today and she said it could be gallstones! So I've been referred for a scan. My first question was "can I still keep TTC?" and she said yes which is good. Although I've just done a lot of reading on gallstones and gallbladder removal surgery and I just do not need this on top of trying to have a baby. However I also never want to go through that pain again 😅 so will just need to see how things go

My sister had gallstones as a teenager and it took them 3 years to diagnose them! By which point she was septic and had acute pancreatitis caused by the gallstones moving and blocking the pancreas. They had to wait for her to recover from the pancreatitis for her to have her gallbladder removed. She has been fine since. It creeped up during the first two years the attacks were very sporadic and it was only in the third year when she was having frequent attacks and getting poorly with them.

My mum recently was diagnosed with gallstones 6 days post op from another operation on her stomach. She had acute infection in the gallbladder and jaundice as she had gallstones that moved into her liver. This improved after a week on iv antibiotics. She has had to wait until she had recovered from the stomach surgery and her gallbladder to recover from the infection. She's due to get the gallbladder removed next week I think she will be 12 weeks since diagnosis. She was home and in pain on and off for probably a further 1-2 weeks but she was still recovering from her stomach surgery too and this was a bigger operation than her gallbladder removal will be. Since then she has been doing really well and better than she has been in probably 18 months. She's fractured her back in January 23 and has had limited mobility because of that but she is now close to her preback injury levels of mobility. She is expecting to be in hospital for 12-36h when she has the gallbladder removed.

I just thought I would give you some hope that whilst attacks can be horrendously painful it's possible to return to normal life in between times. Do seek out help whenever it flares up just to make sure none of the gallstones have gone on a little wander!

Hi, my partner and I have been TTC our second since earlier this year. I conceived on my second cycle but I had a miscarriage this week at 10 weeks.

It took a lot of soul searching and talks to feel able to want a second. I have bipolar and I had a severe episode after having my daughter which took 2 years to recover from and involved a 10 week stay in a mother and baby unit. My daughter also had a tricky time with reflux and allergies which she still hasn't outgrown aged 4. It can still take a lot of our energy to manage so we waited until we had the headspace to potentially go through it all again.

I had a tricky time in my short pregnancy with hyperemesis. I'm still quite nauseous whilst my hormones are still dropping. I did wonder if it would put my partner off trying again. Whilst we waiting for the miscarriage to be confirmed he said it didn't seem fair that I had such a hard time for it to just end. We have spoken about it though and we would like to restart once I am able to.

I'm so emotional. Happy but terrified. Definitely. Big lifestyle changes for me too though. Lost 10 pounds this month, took only natural folic acid and vit D and exercises 3 times this week. It was the first month my ovulation went back to pre my boys.

I'm just so scared though. Hope I make it to my first scan at 8 weeks.
