Dealing with delaying TTC

hi everyone!

my other posts shared about my recent HPV and cervical biopsy. Now we are likely going to push back TTC even though this month was going to be a Proper Try. Have any of you dealt with having to push back TTC until an unknown date and how you managed it?? I've been so sad and have been muting all my friends who are pregnant/have babies because I feel such a deep sadness lol. Feel like that Lana Del Rey song where she asks if it's ever gonna be her turn.

Hey

Yes

Last year

Ended up having to avoid conception for 7 / 8 months as had to have my liver re checked
And also multiple colonoscopies
.
And had miscarriage history

Its hard

I hear you.

One day @ a time etc

Be kind to yourself

Slightly different in that me and DH decided to stop when the pandemic hit as I wouldn’t have coped being alone very well! So not health related but definitely delayed our TTC journey

@ingridharrison sorry I haven’t seen your other post so not sure how long you need to push TTC back by. But my most recent loss was a partial molar pregnancy so wasn’t allowed to TTC for a few months as I was being monitored for a while in case it unfortunately turned to cancer (it didn’t thank goodness). The only way I got through it was by keeping busy by booking weekends away etc. and also focusing on my health with taking vitamins & having acupuncture, so I felt like when I was to TTC again, I’m in a good place for it

oh that's so horrible! i hope you're alright now? we are having to delay by unknown months, depending on the cervix biopsy result :(

Erm. Time? Filling it with other things. Did some online learning (couldn’t really go out 🤣). Booked a last minute break when it opened up. It got easier. But it was hard at first to change the mindset as we literally started TTC start of 2020 after what was going to be our last ‘big’ holiday as a couple.

I am a huge believer in things happening for a reason even when we can’t see it at the time and for whatever reason, I was supposed to have this baby in 2024 - so I think that mindset also helped get me through the first stages

Thank you, yes I’m fine now. I got discharged from the hospital just last week to TTC again.
I hope your results come back ok & that you don’t have to delay for too long
