Line progression

I'm starting to worry, I had a positive ovulation test on 19th July, which would make me around 13DPO today and my lines are only slightly getting darker, has anyone experienced this before?

Hiya, attached are my tests from 13DPO and 14DPO. I think they look fairly similar to yours? And the lines don’t look darker on 14DPO either. My daughter is now 15 months 😊

@imy ahh thank you for sharing this, this is reassuring! When were these tests in comparison to when you were due on your period if you can remember? I’m due on my period Sunday but due my cycles being longer I’m not sure what it would make me weeks wise etc so just going off my positive ovulation test. Have you got a pic of 15DPO? X

This is 15 and 16 DPO so you can see its starting to get darker here! This was my first cycle off the pill so I didn’t know when my period was due. I calculated it as the time since ovulation plus two weeks as that’s the standard cycle. So 14DPO = 4 weeks. Xx

@imy thank you I'm trying to be positive it's so difficult, I have had 3 losses already and find it hard to think of being able to get past this stage 😔. Xx

This is my line at approx 15 DPO, what do you think? Do you reckon the progression is enough? Xx

Yes, that's really decent progression for a strip (although of course it can't predict what may or may not happen further down the line). All my CP strip tests remained at complete squinters.

I found it took ages to get those tests to show up dark
Only started getting properly dark around 20dpo

Thank you everyone! I've taken one this morning (I regret doing this, I shouldn't have I know but I'm v anxious) and it's actually lighter, I aren't really experiencing symptoms :-(. Xx

@DC2023 The lines are really dark. The two you've posted look roughly the same to me. If the second is lighter, it could be because you're a bit more hydrated. And most pregnant women don't experience pregnancy symptoms this early. I know people love to symptom spot, but if you ask most pregnant women when they got their first symptoms, they'll say 5/6 or even 7 weeks. I felt absolutely fine until almost 6 weeks and then felt really really sick and exhausted until 11 weeks.

My test is lighter this morning than yesterday when it seemed much darker, that can't be a good sign can it? I'm feeling super worried this morning. See pics below you can see the lighter one amongst the two. Xx

Hi @DC2023 , I'm sorry you're still so anxious. It's completely understandable. I have never seen a chemical pregnancy progress like this. Usually the lines remain very light. You have very dark lines that have become darker over time (maybe not day to day, but since you tested first). I really think you are winding yourself up a bit here. In a couple of weeks you'll be able to get an early scan if you wanted to - that might help to put your mind at rest.

You are pregnant. Celebrate it and take each day as it comes. Don’t worry yourself with line progression. I know it’s hard and the anxiety is real. Drink your water, take your prenatals and celebrate yourself queen. Just breathe.

I am due a scan next week as I have previously had 2 ectopic pregnancies so at least then I'll know for sure. Have you ever known lines to get a slightly bit lighter like in my case? Xx

ok that’s good, hopefully that’ll put your mind at rest. I’ve honestly not looked into line progression this much so I can’t say. Line progression also isn’t an accurate at to track your HCG and will vary depending on how hydrated you are too. I think you need to take a breath and try as hard as possible to take your mind off this.

When I was pregnant my lines varied all the time because of my water intake and how dehydrated I was that day. I made a conscious effort to drink extra water and as a result my lines got lighter but I knew I was doing the right thing by drinking lots of water.

Thank you, I am going to try my hardest, I had no problems with my first and I feel grateful I have a healthy child. Conceiving a second is proving a lot harder, thank you again. Xx

Hello!
thankfully everything was fine and I have a healthy 5 week old!
I even bled so I feared the worst but keep praying and trying to be positive. I hate those early unknown days. Are you ok? Xx
