Still Bleeding! (Anovulatory Cycle - HELP!)

Hello!

A brief backstory we are currently TTC and I have PCOS. We lost our first baby to miscarriage in 2022 and been TTC ever since with no luck. I use the Ovusense Core fertility monitor and last cycle didn't detect ovulation - my "period" started and I thought that was that - try again next month.

Except, I'm still bleeding! It has been over 2 weeks now. I had a HSG in that time but that was over a week ago. I've visited the GP and their advice was to wait it out and come back in a week if it's still happening.

I just want it to stop so we can continue our TTC journey but now I'm panicking and feel like I'm broken or something more sinister is happening.

So I'm hoping someone out there has had a similar experience or can offer some advice please???

I had a 2 week period a few years ago when I was under a lot of stress and the dr gave me some tablets to stop the bleeding. I would bang your fists on the table to get further checks and for this because it can make you feel very low and tired.

When I had an ectopic pregnancy (I'm not saying you have one) I bled for 6 weeks. Even after the pregnancy resolved, I bled for another 2 weeks. It honestly felt like it would never end and that I might need to ask for help. Then one day it just stopped.

So I know it is frustrating, and worrying, but bleeding itself isn't a bad thing. Your body is releasing what it needs to. And when it's finished, it will stop. But if you get any new or weird cramps, other symptoms accompanying it, then definitely get in touch and see if you can get an ultrasound.

And like they say if bleeding continues for 3, 4 weeks, get in touch with them again.

Having a HSG a week ago does sound feasible that it caused some irritation and triggered bleeding.

Just in case it could be anything else like an ectopic, take some pregnancy tests.
