I’ve been TTC for baby number 3 for 5 months and today at 9dpo (mid morning) received a very strong bfp (test line nearly the same colour as the control line). I’ve been tracking ovulation so know my dates within 24 hours give or take.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced a strong bfp and went on to have a successful singleton pregnancy? I’m terrified of twins as I have high-risk pregnancies.

(Also, for all those tracking cervical position during the tww I checked mine a couple hours before my bfp and it was low and hard!)

Are you sure you're 9dpo?

I've only ever heard of lines that strong so early if it was ectopic. I think sometimes with twins too. 9dpo seems way too early to be having almost dye stealers. What tests were you using? It might be worth it to get the digital with weeks?

could possibly be 10 dpo but really quite sure of my dates. I used a first response link dye test. Here is a pic. It’s not a dye stealer, just seems very strong for 9/10dpo. Am I worried about nothing?

@Rosie1919 that looks similar to mine at 10dpo and I was also shocked. The lines are fainter on my easyathome tests though.

With my little boy I tested positive at 10dpo with a first response and my line was like yours, I was convinced I was having twins so got an early scan, he was the only little one in there and now a very chatty toddler.

congratulations x
