Does a very dark test mean anything in particular?

So I'm 5+2 and am having an early scan on Sunday due to bleeding (I had a mc already in April so EPU just want to be cautious) so I did a test as they told me to, to make sure it was still positive which it absolutely is haha. I have stopped bleeding and am feeling more confident.

I've read sssooo much online about how a dark test this early can mean twins, molar, Down syndrome... does anyone have any experience with this? My test line is darker than the control like which I expect is normal for 5 weeks, but curious if anyone has any experience with this and gone on to have twins or whatever?

Genuinely just curious!

I'm wondering the same! I have literally just found out I'm pregnant, first test done today, I'm 2 days late, this was an instant dark line show up! I am still in shock 😂

Congratulations BTW, you'll have to let us all know if it means anything from your scan! Imagine if it's twins!

Hi @Shahhhh - I also had heavy spotting so went for a scan today! Was just a singleton and my test is also similar to yours. Hope your scan goes well, keep me posted 🤞🏼🤞🏼 xx

my test was a dye stealer at 13dpo!! And it was due to Down syndrome.

so I think the dark test are referring to when you’re actually testing early on to see if you’re pregnant.

let us know how it goes! good luck!
