First appointment at subfertility clinic

I have my first appointment at the subfertility clinic tomorrow and would like to hear if anyone has experience of this.

We have been ttc for 4 years and during that time I have had 3 mmcs. After my last mmc I was given a hysteroscopy and was diagnosed with a Uterine Septum, this has now been removed during a laparoscopy. Unfortunately, during that laparoscopy they also discovered that one of my tubes is blocked and they are unable to clear the blockage. It is now almost a year since my septum resection (and due to my age (37)) my doctor has referred me. I have had various blood tests in the past, LH, FSH etc, and everything is OK.

Sorry for the rambling but I am very nervous and scared.

No advice Puddin - just good luck - I have my first appointment on thursday so this thread is very useful (especially Gilly's in depth post - thanks and hello Gilly... long time no speak !).

Where i am going (St Mary's Roehampton) I am seeing a nurse first when they should schedule an appointment with consultant in 2 months time and do tests in between. I have been told the appointment should last half an hour and that it may include an internal. So, I assume its just going to be history taking (I have a 3 year old dd, conceived quickly -although a problematic pregnancy and I conceived a second time easily but m/c and haven't been able to conceive since which was almost 2 years ago).

Good luck ! Hope you get the answers (and solutions !) you're looking for.

Thanks gillydaffodil and Wheelybug for your replies; you have alleviated some of my fears .

I am under BWH but haven?t been told who I am seeing (consultant/nurse).

Gillydaffodil what an amazing post, it certainly gives me an insight into what I may expect. Good luck with your appointment on the 1st May and subsequent IUI.

Wheelybug, sorry you are going through the same. I hope you get some answers also.

Once again, thanks for your replies.

Hi Gilly - not much to report here really just waiting to get started on these tests. I am not working at all ... just a lady of leisure. How's life at the BM ? Good luck with the IUI - v. exciting (although daunting too I suspect !).
