Is the cycle after a cp a bit odd? Persona result this morning is odd.

It would seem mine is.
I'm using persona. It's my own machine, used it for years in between my pg's.
It always asks for a test on cd6 (routine), mine is always a green light because I O somewhere between cd18-20, never earlier. This morning is cd6 and it says RED!?!
I have got cramping and period has been and gone. Does anyone have any idea what could be going on or do I put it down to last month?

Hi sorky, i have used persona for a few years and i have had loads of red days on day six....i think its when i ovulate early that month.

It may be because your hormones are a little out of balance due to the cp, so persona has given you a red day to be on the safe side IYKWIM

Hop that helps x

Have you looked at the test stick you used this morning? If the right hand blue line is as dark like the left hand one, that'll be why you have a red light. If so, it's either due to lots of LH around (not unheard of at that stage in a cycle though perhaps unusual for you) and you are ovulating early or HCG which is hanging around.

Just a guess of course.,

I'll dig out the test and have a look.

I got a negative test the day I started bleeding so I doubt it's the hcg & it's been 6 days since then, besides the sticks don't measure it.

Maybe I'm all skew-whiff this month.

Thanks for your thoughts

No the left is darker than the right.

Actually, which way round do you read it?

Does the poas end point to the left or right when you read it?

Um.... hold it so that the 'window' is to the left and the strip you pee on is to the right - in other words the way round that you hold it when you slot it into the monitor. I don't know if you have noticed, but as you approach ov, the right hand line gets progressively darker while the left hand line stays darkish - I assume that the left hand line is a control that the machine compares the right hand line to, but I am guessing that. After ov, the right hand line goes v. pale again or disappears altogether. The contrast between the two though varies with batch.

How sad am I that I have obviously actually studied the flippin' things.....

As for the sticks measuring hcg, no, they don't specifically. But apparently the structure of hcg is very like that of lh, so if you test for lh but hcg is present, the strip might indicate high lh, when in fact it's hcg it is detecting. The converse apparently isn't true - pregnancy tests don't pick up lh, only hcg. There is an article somewhere that puts it in terms of identical twins wearing exactly the same thing, except one is also wearing a hat. The lh tests look for the 'twins' and so can see both. The hcg test looks for the hat, so can only see the hat wearing twin.

I have now thoroughly confused you.... and it sounds to me as you might be skew-whiff as you said...
