Hi all

I was hoping for some advice.

I am 34 and Husband is 28. We have been married for nearly a year.

We decided we wanted to try for a baby at the start of the year. By this point I had been in the pill for nearly 10 years and had regular periods like clockwork.

Spoke with my GP who said I could just stop taking it. So I did in Feb, fast forward to July and I have still not had a period.

I have been to see my GP twice had blood tests and was referred for a scan. My GP told me my blood tests were ‘normal’. Fed up of waiting for the scan I booked a private one. Only to be told my ovaries were ‘mildly polycystic’. They recommended inofolic alpha and my Husband have a test. I have been taking the supplements for just over 2 weeks and his test was normal.

I have been doing regular OPK and have had 2 positive in the last 2 months but still no pregnancy :(

Every month I seem to have a ‘period’, what I mean by this is brown, very light and not enough to fill a pad type ‘period’. It comes on the day my app says it will so clearly my body is trying to do something.

I feel very deflated by all of this. I appreciate I haven’t been trying for as long as some people probably have but approaching 35 I know my chances will only decrease.

Has anyone else experienced this coming off the pill and will it get any better. The private consultant advised being seen again in 6 months time by then it would have been a year of trying if we don’t get pregnant.

Please be kind 🙂
