Long read, please bear with me :)

Hey all. Sadly I had an early miscarriage on Thursday 18th July, confirmed by blood tests and docs by Monday 22nd July (I was in for blood tests every 48 hours as they monitored my hcg dropping). I had horrendous cramps and pretty bad bleeding from the Friday to the Sunday. The latest results from the blood tests yesterday reveal that my hcg is 13, so they are happy with that and can confirm that it's not an ectopic pregnancy or anything they're medically concerned about. My poor veins thank them for this decision, haha.

As of now (9 days since the Thursday my miscarriage symptoms started) I have no pain and no bleeding.

I've been told that I'm probably more fertile than ever before now that I've miscarried and my husband and I are very keen to start trying again. My question is, if assuming today wasn't a one of and the the bleeding is still not there tomorrow, am I safe to go ahead and get back in the saddle so to speak? It will then be 10 says since the miscarriage symptoms start.

I know the general recommendation is either 2 weeks after symptoms stop or until you've had your first cycle but for reasons I won't get into, we only have a limited window in which we can realistically conceive, we can't really wait a possible 6 to 8 weeks for my cycle to return, so im hoping for sooner rather than later but obviously wouldn't do anything that would harm my body or my chances of conceiving again.

Thanks for bearing with me. From the bottom of my heart, I send sticky baby dust your way x

If you’ve completely stopped bleeding, I’d say it’s ok. If you’re still bleeding you’d be at risk of infection.
