Hi friends. 💛

I had a miscarriage in April at 7 weeks. I'm currently 5 weeks pregnant and came home tonight to some blood when I wiped. My underwear was black so can't tell if there's anything on there but when I wiped there was a teeny tiny clot and some light red/brown blood. I've called EPAU but they're closed so they're getting back to me tomorrow regarding progesterone as they said I'd be entitled to it this time but just after some wisdom of some sort.

I have a few twinges but no cramps, few niggles in my left ovary. I've been really symptom heavy, nipples are SO sore, bloated, gassy, nausea now and again. I'm just terrified of it happening again. 💔

Sounds like an irritated cervix. I've had similar bleeds with both my pregnancies, especially after sex.

Calmed down by 12 weeks. Good luck

@Outliers oh I really hope so! We're even avoiding full blown 'internal' sex as that's what kickstarted the spotting last time. It's all so exciting but so scary especially after loss. I'm really hoping the GP can help with a referral!

@Shahhhh I’m so sorry to hear about your previous loss and that you’re having the stress of spotting this pregnancy. I’m in a very similar position (MMC in March, now 6wks pregnant again) and I had spotting this time last week. I saw the EPAU on Weds and they offered a scan and started me on progesterone right away. They were very helpful and I hope you have the same experience. Pregnancy after loss is so tricky as we’ll never be naively optimistic again, but I’m trying to relax as much as I can and enjoy a bit of good news for now. Sending you lots of love and positivity, always here if you need a chat ❤️

@cheeseycrumpets I'm sooo sorry for your loss too my darling. Thank you for your words 💛

Can I ask, did the GP refer you to EPU or did you self refer? They're saying I can't self refer until I'm 7 weeks but that seems so cruel to just make me wait another 2 weeks. I'm really hoping the Gp can speed it up for me 😭

Congrats on your pregnancy love 🥰

@Shahhhh Hi lovely, I was able to self refer at mine but I know it really varies from one trust/hospital to the next. The first MMC I was referred through A&E and then I just kept the clinic number saved in case. I’d phone the EPU and your GP again tomorrow as it makes no sense for you to wait, especially for progesterone!

Keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you ❤️ You’re doing the right thing by pushing to be seen and get some advice.

@Shahhhh did you manage to speak to your GP or EPU yesterday? 🤞

Hi love! I got in at the GP and she referred me straight to the maternity unit at the hospital. I was there for 4 hours then they decided I need a scan so that is this is Sunday! If the bleeding hasn't stopped then they said they'll likely give me progesterone. Just taking one day at a time 💛

I’m so glad they booked you in for a scan this week but I’m sorry you had to wait for so long at the hospital! Will be thinking of you tomorrow at your scan and really hope they can offer some reassurance ❤️

@cheeseycrumpets hi love! So we got our scan yesterday and confirmed a beautiful little heartbeat at 6+1. We were prescribed progesterone up until 16 weeks and I've taken 2 tablets so far. We're feeling super positive about it. Really hoping this is it for us!! Thank you so much for checking in 💛
