Could I get a BFP before 3 weeks?

Hi everyone

I'm TTC #2 and I have shorter than average cycles of 24 days. I had a positive OPK on Saturday (CD12) so I'm taking Sunday as ovulation day at a guess.

Tuesday would make me 8DPO and this is when I got a positive with my DD however this would only make me 2w6d pregnant going from last period?

Should I leave testing this month until 10DPO? Thoughts?

Thanks!

When you test positive will be based on the amount of time from when you ovulated - ovulating earlier in your cycle won't necessarily mean that you'll take longer to test positive. That said, 8DPO is early for a positive test no matter when you ovulate - I believe less than 20% of pregnancies are detectable by home tests at 8DPO, with 10 - 12DPO being a more typical time for first positive.

You might get a positive at this stage. Some women do.

Good luck, OP!

I had a D&C in March and didn't have another bleed until 4th May. I thought it was a period, but I didn't ovulate at all and bled 18 days later. I assumed it was another random intermittent bleed, except I ovulated just one day after the bleed stopped on day 9 and 9 days later got a positive test!

Technically, that 'cycle' was only 18 days long! I'm 9+5 currently. It could happen.
