Hi all, would you say this is a positive ovulation test? Im currently breastfeeding my 6 month old. Period hasn’t returned. On the app it says 0.63 low and then I checked a few hours later and test line was more faint and 0.43

How dark do your lines usually get? This wouldn't be a positive for me (I'd expect a positive in the next day or so though!) but I've seen others on this board say that their lines never get super dark x

Before breastfeeding they’d get slightly darker but not much really! Thank you very much x

I’d say the same, I think tomorrow you should get your peak (just going of what mine are normally like) it certainly looks like it’s nearly there!

This is what I thought but it’s been lower all day

That does look a lot lower today! I would say at some point yesterday you peaked then? I’m probably not the right person to actually comment cause my strips are doing the same thing! 😂 not quite got to the peak stage like they had in the past and now they’re fading. I’m just guessing I’ve missed the peak at some point yesterday, it’s really hard to pin point I imagine.
here’s mine just for context

Did you use your first morning urine?

Given the other tests are fading, I'd think you got your peak yesterday and just missed it in terms of when you tested. It definitely shows a surge of LH x

You could be having an anovulatory cycle, or your body could just be continuously trying to ovulate but not succeeding due to the breastfeeding. It might be a case of waiting until you start your period and then counting back a couple of weeks.

It might be a bit late for this now but have you heart of BBT? It's where you take your body temp every morning as the very first thing you do and then record the temperatures. It dips just before ovulation and then spikes after to confirm you've ovulated (I think anyway, it's been a couple of years since I did it!). It's no good for predicting ovulation, but it's good at confirming that it's taken place. I used the premom app to plot the temps.

Also, I think with these type of ovulation tests you're specifically not supposed to use FMU. I always left it a couple of hours after my first wee and then tried to take them at the same time every day x

Thank you for all this information! this is the first time I’ve got over 0.66 so I thought by getting the 1.11 I had definitely ovulated and then getting the 0.8 threw me off. I tried BBT but because my sleep is disturbed as I’m a light sleeper but also with baby I didn’t bother. Thank you x

No worries, my period came back at 8 weeks PP despite EBF! It's still not super regular though even though I'm only feeding twice a day and DD is 14 months!
