Pregnant at 40- Clearblue at 1-2 weeks pregnant. Worried!

Good morning. Bit of a background. I am 40 years old. TTC for baby no 2 for 6 years. In that time I had multiple miscarriages, including 11 weeks loss from IVF. Last time pregnant August 2023, chemical pregnancy.

I just found out I am pregnant. My period was due on Sunday 21 July. Ovulation was 7th July ( day 17 of my cycle). I understand that going by last period date I should be at 4 weeks and 5 days.

I've done Boots early pregnancy test, Easy @ home- all positive but quite faint. I think I can see some line progression but difficult to say. I've just done Clearblue digital and it's saying 1-2 weeks only, whereas I understand it should be 2-3 weeks to my understanding. I am really really anxious. My understanding is that Clearblue calculates from conception day- would that be day of ovulation? In which case, it's definately been more than 2 weeks un my case.

I am on 400mg progesteron twice a day and I am taking 75 mg aspirin.

I am not bleeding/spotting at all but I do have slight cramps. I am terribly tired, probably because I am not sleeping well googling all the time😅

I know I need to take it day by day. But it's a torture😭 EPU won't see me until I am at least 6 weeks, to rule out the ectopic ( I had ectopic in 2014).

Just asking for a handhold... ♥️♥️

I didn’t want to read and run. I had a digital reading for 1-2 weeks when I was actually 4-5 since conception, and it turned out to be ectopic and I started miscarrying shortly after. This is not to say that this will be your experience AT ALL. Are you 100% sure your EPU won’t see you? I got a referral for my ectopic days after finding out I was pregnant, and was first seen at exactly 5 weeks. But I was also having terrible cramps in my right groin. If you’re taking medication that should hopefully make the odds more in your favour. Wishing you the absolute best ❤️❤️

Conception could occur any time between ovulation and your period if that helps.

Sending you a handhold Flowers

I honestly think the Clearblue weeks indicator tests cause more worry than they are worth. They are not 100% accurate and the results can be influenced by a number of factors including natural HCG levels which can vary, concentration of urine and exact date of ovulation/ conception.

Tiredness and cramps are a normal symptom for this stage of pregnancy too.

Pregnancy after loss is terrifying. I'm keeping everything crossed for you 🤞

Honestly I’d stop testing and just wait and see. Tests are not there to predict outcome. Would EPU see you sooner given your history? Although waiting til at least 6 weeks is sensible as not much to see before then

Hey I'm 17 weeks... I had loads of cramps and still get them now. Lots is going on down there .. baby is making a home & stretching everything!
Clear blue digital.. mine took ages to get to 2-3.
Honestly don't worry! I'm sure bean is fine x

Thank you all. Unfortunately the line is now gone. That's it. I'll wait to start bleeding😞😞
