Ovulation Tests?

Started taking ovulation tests on the recommended test time. Currently on possible day 2.. both tests were negative but showing slight lines, though todays line was lighter than yesterdays line.
Is this normal? surely the line should get darker with each test? My partner questioned whether I’ve already ovulated and this could be a sign that LH levels are decreasing?
Any help or others’ experiences are welcomed x

It shouldn’t get darker every day no, it will go up and down throughout your cycle and will then get darker leading to your peak however some people will go from basically nothing, to a peak, back to basically nothing in 12 hours or less x

It’ll vary throughout the month.

It’s probably lighter today because you’ll have released some LH during your period; which can show up.

Thank you.
Happy to report I got my peak on 6th day of testing. Though I have PCOS and was fascinated to learn I had the 6th,7th AND 8th days (because I continued testing) that showed lines strong enough to be peak days though we strongly believe the 6th was actual ovulation day because I experienced pain around the left ovary that night.
i continued to test to the 10th day and my levels had significantly dropped off by then.

now it’s the wait game and it’s killing me 🫣
