Pregnant immediately after MMC

I had a MMC confirmed on 4th July after bleeding heavily for 1 week. Completed Miscarriage naturally at home on July 5th. Tested negative for pregnancy on 18th July under doctors orders to do so.

On July 12th I felt some of my normal symptoms of ovulation (increased libido and nausea) and felt comfortable enough to give things a go.

Today (July 22nd) I think I am around 10 dpo. I’ve had mild cramping, more so on left side. I’ve also felt a bit nauseous and have had heart burn in the evening since about 8dpo. Have had clear CM for a few days.

I tested with early response test today and think I can see a very very very faint positive line. Will retest in a week. Even more faint in image.

I have no idea when my period is due, and have no idea how to date this because I’ve only just had a MC. Is it possible that I could even be pregnant?

Did your period come back in between? I miscarried on the 30th June and the remaining tissue came out on the 3rd July. I’m still testing positive (although it’s barely there) and haven’t had any symptoms of ovulation yet. What was the advice you were given about trying again? One midwife told me once we get a negative test and one said after my first period! The one I spoke to today said you could absolutely get pregnant before your next period so the reason they say wait is so they know it’s definitely a new pregnancy and they can date it properly!
I would have guessed you wouldn’t ovulate before you got a negative test (because your body thinks you’re pregnant still) but she also said my period could come before the negative test so who knows!!!
Keep testing and if it gets darker then I would say yes (and congratulations!!)

It's definitely possible you can be pregnant again without a period, you need to ovulate first before you get a period so defo possible. It happened to me and I read about a lot of other women it happened to too.

In terms of dating, I just went with from when I ovulated and worked from that although medics were completely flabbergasted about how I could know how far along I was and I had one woman at EPU (over the phone) give me completely wrong information about how far along I was, she said 4 weeks but I knew I was 6 weeks. It seemed like she didn't know much about ovulation or maths which was a bit concerning. Once you get to 12 weeks you'll get your due date from there anyway.

Anyway, nothing much you can do right except wait a couple more days to retest. (I'm a POAS addict so well done if you can hold out for another week!) Good luck! 🤞🏼

Yes it's possible - I can't see a line, but wait another 4-5 days and test again.

I tested positive for about 3 weeks after my MMC.

My dr told me it's definitely possible to get pregnant again right after though, I miscarried at the end of May and she told me to start trying again without waiting for my period if I felt like I wanted to as your most fertile afterwards. Not much you can do now but wait a day or 2 and test again.
