Reflexology and TTC

i thought i'd start a new thread on this, as the ttc threads are very long and anything i may say will get lost. on a number of threads i have suggested reflexology for ttc and IVF.

the link i am posting has lots of information, although personally i worry when folk claim the credit. we therapists are just facillitators, afterall. womens own published an article on this lady last november, i think it was.

now i should point out that i have absolutely no affiliation with this therapist or her site... but it has information that may help. (as does mine!)

i did ask the forum techs if we could have a complementary health forum, for any questions and discussions but apparently not .

so i am posting this with no other ulterior motive but to give information.

However, I have been inspired to look for another reflexologist, and have found quite a few in my area (not surprisiing - I'm in London). Any tips for how I can check out in advance how good they are likely to be? Or is it just a question of going with whoever 'feels right'?

I'm working on some stuff for a colonic hydrotherapy clinic at the moment (I'm a copywriter), and apparently they have a very high conception rate amongst their clients - whether they're TTC or not.

I am looking for case histories... details on the Media thread - very grateful for any help. Mumsnetters are wonderful!

the point of the link was for information really... its quite a comprehensive site and this reflexologist has had much success and has lots of quotes from happy clients.

as for finding a therapist, when you phone someone, ask what experience they have with what you want treated... have they been on special maternity related courses, that sort of thing. and yes, it is a bit of going on how you feel.

i do know quite a few good therapists around the place though, so if you narrow your area down a bit, i'd be happy to recommend someone.

Oooh complementary health is a good idea for a topic - be used more than SPORT FFS!

yes, i have been a little surprised at some of the forum headings that appeared and dont seem that well used... another one, to see how it went, wouldnt have made a lot of difference, imo.
