Not a question but wanted to share in case anybody was in the same boat as me. May save someone else Googling for days!
I really wanted a conception/pregnancy multivit without biotin - I have hormonal acne, terrible outbreaks when I was younger, and I discovered during lockdown (on a health kick) that most multi vits were terrible for my skin. I am convinced biotin was the culprit. It's in most brands and impossible to avoid.
I ditched the multivits but I'm TTC #2 now and it's not going well - I wanted to give myself a boost with some vits (been reading It Starts With The Egg) but again, bloody biotin is everywhere! I know it seems incredibly vain, and a baby would be worth it for shit skin for a while, but I already feel down about myself so didn't want to feel worse. Having bad skin doesn't exactly make you feel sexy!
Anyway, after doing a tonne of research, I found some options without the pesky ingredient! They're not perfect but an option for anyone who can't/doesn't want to take biotin:
My Expert Midwife Pre-Conception + Pregnancy for Women - good basic formula
Bud Female Fertility Formula - contains folate instead of folic acid, and have the read the former is supposedly superior. It does include Maca, however, which the book doesn't recommend
ASDA Multivitamins & Minerals Pregnancy Care - this was the one I actually went for the end! Impressive listing of vits (all that are mentioned in the book) for a cheap price BUT the major downside is that it only has half the amount of recommended vitamin D so I'm having to supplement further. They really need to sort that out, was almost perfect!
I hope this helps someone Googling in the wee small hours :)
