Looking to chat to others with high amh

I know this is an old post but I have high AMH levels but a scan today said I am borderline PCOS.
Have you conceived yet?

worldwidetravel2017 · 27/10/2024 05:22

We concieved in the past but had a miscarriage

Pcos increases miscarriage risk

Aww thats a shame. I was hoping you would say you had conceived

How high is your AMH? Mine is 49.01 pmol.
One of my ovaries is completely normal with 10 follicles in but the other had 26 so have said I am borderline PCOS but I ovulate on my own
How does PCOS affect you?

worldwidetravel2017 · 27/10/2024 08:11

Mines lower than that but ive been on metformin for a while now

Have you seen nhs gynae ?

If you talk to your NHS gp and get refered to gynae - youll probably also be put on metformin

Myo inostol is worth considering too

Theres 4 diff types of pcos

Even though u ovulate on your own - fertility wise they may want you on letrozole so u ' super ovulate '

Depending on your age
And how long youve ttc

Id recommend a private hyfosy

( approx 515 gbp)

To see if your tubes are blocked

Hi all, I’ve just started my own thread but then came across this one. I received some blood tests today. AMH is 94.75 pmol, so absolutely off the scale. I have previously managed to conceive pretty quickly on two occasions when I was in my twenties (although one of the pregnancies ended in a stillbirth at 24 weeks). But now, ten years later, me and my DP are struggling to conceive after almost a year now. Unsure if I am actually ovulating with AMH that high, but I do have fairly regular cycles.

Amh that high = very likely pcos

I highly recommend hertility health

I was ovulating with my pcos
But had blocked tubes apparently
.
Even though had miscarriage last yr.

Have NHS gynae seen u ?
U might be put on metformin due to pcos

If u dont mind me asking - hows your BMI?
And do u get sugar cravings ?

Day 3 - 5 bloods
LH
And fsh
Can help re pcos diagnosis

Low shbg also = pcos

Have u had a transvaginal scan to look at ovaries and see if they appear polycystic ? I recommend this

Hi @worldwidetravel2017 it was actually Herility that did the blood tests. They tested for 10 things in total (including FSH, LH , OEST and PROL) everything else was within normal range. The recommendation was to have a pelvic scan to confirm PCOS, which I am looking into. My bmi is 22, so normal, I have put on a bit of weight in recent years though.

Sorry to hear about your miscarriage. Can I ask what the solution was for your tubes being blocked?

Hi - I saw this thread and wanted to reply in case helpful. I have suspected pcos and had an AMH test last year showing AMH of 95.7 pmol/l - so v high. I saw an endocrinologist who recommended a low carb / high fat diet (I needed to lose about a stone). I did this for 3 months and also started taking inositol - brand Ovasitol that I ordered from the US. By 3 months my cycles were regular and I fell pregnant. I had a very straightforward pregnancy and my DD is now 9 months old. I’m about to start low carb / Ovasitol again to TTC my second. Everyone is different so do your own research for sure but I just wanted to share my experience.
