9 weeks after loss and no ovulation. Have had first period and scan with no issues. Feeling terribly upset as was hoping to try again. Wondering if I should take norhistirone to attempt to regulate or wait longer. Any advise would be appreciated.

Sorry to hear about your miscarriage. Why would you take that as doesn’t it stop your period and therefore ovulation too ?

I think it can correct irregular cycles. 9 weeks seems very long worries it will never return as now 40.

Ah okay I didn’t know it could work like that. I understand your worry but in the grand scheme of things 9 weeks isn’t a long time after such a big event in your body. Miscarriages aren’t known to put you into menopause

It took 7.5 weeks for my first negative pregnancy test and my first bleed a few days later. I was so excited, I thought it was my period and we could get going again, but my ovulation tests and BBT were all over the place never snhenrfe near positive. The bleed lasted for 8 days and I started bleeding again 8 days later.

While I was still spotting bright red, I noticed what seemed like a huge amount of EWCM for me, so figured I was gearing up to ovulate for the first time. Turns out, I definitely did because I fell pregnant shortly after. I ovulated on day 9 after that bleed, having only finished bleeding one day before, and had a positive test 9 days later!

It seems insane to think, and it's certainly messed my dates up. My body really took a long time to recover after my MMC, and the intermittent bleed I had was heartbreaking because I was so desperate to try again. I'd wait until after the first period and then track again. I hope it settles for you soon.

Thanks I appreciate your response. It also took me a long time to get a negative and stop the bleeding for me. So pleased it worked out for you. It's good to hear a positive story and I can only hope for the same xx

I'm sorry for what you're going through. Your body has been through a lot and probably still figuring out what's going on, I'd give it a chance to regulate naturally if you can. I've had 2 miscarriages- after one my period returned quickly, with the other one it took a little longer.
